Deck is in the very final stages of development. I just need a couple things to actually make the deck a force to be reckoned with: preparing for the meta and dealing with threats.
I've made some changes to the sideboard since RTR rotated. It now sports an array of counterspells as well as things to take care of pesky like Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth or Forest.
My current draw engines include: Keranos, God of Storms, Tormenting Voice, and
Steam Augury
.
Current wincons are: Ensoul Artifact
+
Ornithopter
beatdown. Keranos, God of Storms bolts to the face. Or
Scuttling Doom Engine
and
Soul of New Phyrexia
beatdown.
Here's a story:
Urza may be gone, but he will not be forgotten. A new breed of artificer is poised to take his place as the grand genius to shape steel and flame to such effect as to birth engines of great power! Home-forged powerstones, scattered about the plane, allow one artificer and his group of assistants to reforge the very soul of New Phyrexia. This machine, taking a life of its own, is at the will of any mage that has the guts to harness that kind of immense power. With the new forged Soul, an army must be constructed--but of what? Nothing but scrap and broken down Ornithopters litter the landscape, how is an army to become of this? The mage must use his own mana and soul to bring these antiquities to fighting strength, enough power to take on even the largest of Stormbreath Dragon. So then, the mage cast a powerful spell to Ensoul Artifact and bring the broken thopter to vigor. The exhausted Generator Servants give their own life energy to these contructs, fueling their power more than any amount of coal and powerstones. The
Scuttling Doom Engine
was forged. It's power meant it couldn't move very quickly, but that didn't matter. Its hard shell was enough to mow down armies, topple walls, and even kill the Sun's Champion herself!
But what mage will ensue such power?
