Sorcery (4)

Some guys at my local shop have been saying how Phenax, God of Deception is a bad god. I built this deck in hopes of trying to prove them wrong. I have had some good results with it but I want to make this my deck at Game Day. I would love some feed back on how to improve it to get it there.

Now, it's not dependent totally on Phenax, God of Deception. This is a Mill Deck that can turn into a Big Monster deck if needed. Let's break it down by card and my intent with them.

MAIN BOARD:

Consuming Aberration: Power and toughness equal to their graveyard? This can become a big creature very quick. It's second ability to make them mill to a land when I play a spell makes it even better.

Hover Barrier and Wall of Frost: Blockers with big asses, plain and simple. Creatures to stop attacks in the air or super tap the attacking creatures.

Wight of Precinct Six: A miniature Consuming Aberration. A 1/1 two drop that can power up as the game goes.

Phenax, God of Deception: The big guy. I don't even care to hit his Devotion (if I do it's a plus but not a big goal). The main goal is to use the big asses on Hover Barrier and Wall of Frost and build up their graveyards. Use them as blockers and then activate the ability or if they don't attack use it at their end step. After that you bring out a Consuming Aberration and the game should be next to over.

Thassa, God of the Sea: Once Consuming Aberration or Wight of Precinct Six are nice and big, use this to make them unblockable and swing out to end the game. Her scry definitely helps.

Jace, Memory Adept: A must for any Mill Deck. If I need something then +1 him but it will almost always be better to 0 him and make them mill 10. Just like Jace, Architect of Thought I don't really bother with his ultimate.

Tome Scour: One drop mill. It is a great way to start the game, good for later in the game, or make them waste a counter. All around perfect for Mill.

Hero's Downfall: Kill spells are a must and it gets rid of those pesky plainswalkers.

Devour Flesh: Life doesn't matter for this deck and this gets around Hexproof.

Psychic Strike: Counter and mill. It is one of the best counter spell for this deck.

Whip of Erebos: Lifelink which can come in handy and the ability to bring back creatures for a turn if they are killed. Very helpful.

SIDEBOARD:

Traumatize: Mill half their deck. It's that simple. It would be main board but they can be useless late game and the amount of my five drops is high enough.

Psychic Spiral: There are a few other mill decks floating around my local shop. This can also make Traumatize worth it late game by using them both on yourself.

Spell Rupture: Another great counter if Consuming Aberration or Wight of Precinct Six is out. I would throw them in for a control deck. Them or Negate but I don't have a playset of those.

Triton Tactics: Untap Consuming Aberration and give it +0/+3, then tap it again.

Updates Add

I tested electromancer's suggestion about Thassa, God of the Sea. It worked a lot better and ended the game quicker. I put two in and one more Devour Flesh and put Psychic Spiral in my sideboard.
