Hello! This is my first submission into tappedout and was looking to get some opinions out of a current deck I run.

I've fiddled around with this deck for a while now and was wondering if there were any improvements I should make to it.

Most of the time the deck revolves around either AEtherling or Elspeth, Sun's Champion. I tried to implement cards that would compliment both and I believe I have done well in doing so. Heliod, God of the Sun and Spear of Heliod go along well with Elspeth's tokens and in boosting AEtherling to allow him to use his ability more as well as block thanks to vigilance.

All of the counter cards are meant to buy you time until you are able to bring out an AEtherling or Elspeth and set up your own play. Supreme Verdict works excellent to clear out your opponent's creatures to grant safe passage of Elspeth onto the battlefield. Detention Sphere has also helped in taking away troublesome cards like token spawning enchantments or crucial artifacts.

I threw in a Jace, Memory Adept for two reasons. One would be to assist in drawing out more cards with his +1 ability. The other would be if I needed to clear out an opponent's deck and hopefully mill out most of their mana to buy myself more time.

Elixer of immortality is something I include in almost all of my decks. I like having it incase I am milled by an opponent or if I want to regain any used up counters or Supreme Verdicts.

Anyways, onward to the main two points of the deck, Elspeth and AEtherling.

I'll start out with AEtherling. I find AEtherling decks to be very ruthless against any opponent because of all of its effects, two of which can be cast multiple times. Haunted Plate Mail and Spear of Heliod both help to stack his abilities. You can give him more power without fear of putting him to 0 toughness. Normally I would put all of my mana into one attack by him and make him unblockable to quickly end my opponent. This is stopped however by many instants that could easily kill him if you allow it. So I normally keep just enough mana to cast a counter card just incase I need to keep his damage going through.

Next we have Elspeth. I have three ways to boost Elspeth's tokens in my deck, one being Elspeth's emblem. The other two are Heliod, God of the Sun and Spear of Heliod. Elspeth's emblem is a great buff to almost any deck. +2/+2 AND flying to all of her tokens and any other creatures that may be on the battlefield. Couple that with a Spear of Heliod and you're giving them even more power and toughness. Having Elspeth, Sun's Champion, Heliod, God of the Sun, and at least one Spear of Heliod is an amazing line of defense. You'll be able to spawn three 2/2 tokens with vigilance each turn because of this combo.

I feel the deck is pretty strong and has its bases covered. Although I would still like any ideas on ways I could improve this deck or even the weaknesses behind the deck. I wish to hear everything on what could make or break this deck down. Can't wait to hear all of the comments! Thanks!
