I do like Clever Impersonator, but not enough to put it in the main board, let alone in place of Resolute Archangel. With nothing that can gain me 8 plus life from one spell, I really need the life gain in the main deck. I'll consider the impersonator for the sideboard though. Thanks for the comment!

I think you need more consistency with the numbers Suggestions: -1 Jace, the Living Guildpact -2 Last Breath = +2 Elspeth, Sun's Champion +1 Dig Through Time +1 from me

The numbers have been working fine for me so far. I do agree with more Elspeth, but I don't think I have the space for it. I need Last Breath for the early creature removal. Giving them 4 life doesn't matter at all, and I can use it on my own Elspeth tokens if I need the life. And Jace is just great in this deck. I also feel that 3 Dig Through Time is just fine. If I want to run Jace, which I do, I need to be careful about what I exile from my graveyard, and that's hard enough with just 3 Dig. I do appreciate the comment and plus one!

So I have had a lot of success with my deck - U/W Control.
I think that Ugin is super important to be playing. But yeah, tell me what yo think either of us are doing right or wrong.

I do believe that Ugin could be good in here. I very recently cut Banishing Light and don't yet know if that was a good choice or not. If it was, then I will see about adding him in as a one of. Thanks for the comment!

Last Breathe answers all of the important things like Goblin Rabblemaster or Monastary Mentor The other things werent really a worry for me, and Perilous vault requires you to tap out on turn four and five. Why not just end hostilites on five? I am fine with taking a hit from a random four rop or three drop. It will die to Hostilites. Not many things that dont. I am not convinced for the vaults.

It isn't so much the early creatures I'm worried about, it's the things End Hostilities won't kill, that Banishing Light would be intended for.

I think tha you over value devouring light, and should add more counters, I think that counterspells are the best thing to clean up the planeswalkers youre looking to kill, also Ugin is the cleanup spell that doesnt take two turns which were the two most important turns of the game

I agree that Ugin is a MONSTER, especially in a control deck that needs the killing blow.My considerations:Ojutai, Soul of Winter over Resolute ArchangelSomething that makes Pearl Lake Ancient fly like Paragon of Gathering Mists
Also, do you mind checking out my deck? Siege of Monks

I dont agree with the dragon or the paragon. I do like the angel. I also dont like the jaces

I think the dragon is really frail, it just dies to a removal spell if I don't have a counter, and then I wouldn't be getting any value out of it. The angel does give me value even if it does eat a removal spell. As for the paragon, Pearl Lake Ancient really doesn't need the flying. It's bigger than most creatures, and chances I'll be dropping it onto a clean board with counter spell backup. I appreciate the comment!
@BlindyGames, Let me explain Jace. He is something I would want to drop onto a clean board, maybe turn 9 or 10 after I use an End Hostilities. If I can keep him protected and get his ultimate off, I win. Or, if I have a counter spell I can use his minus to return a permanent to their hand and just counter it when they try to re cast it. The plus ability is used to fuel delve and to filter my library in more ways than one. The first one is obvious, I can get rid of that land I would be drawing and replace something useful on top. Or, if I have a fetch land and I don't like what's on top, I can get it shuffled away. I can also use my Dig Through Times to delve away lands, then there are less junk cards left in my library after I get a Jace ultimate off. Now, Jace is something I usually take out after game one, just because I have better things I could be putting in.

So when you actually sleeve up the deck and get some games in you will probably realize that jace actually just sucks. He does not impact a board by himself. He does not offer enough utility to be good. I would much rather just play a dig through time or jace's inginuity over the jace. The dragon is bad we all know and the paragon is useless, but there will never be a creature in the way of perarl lake. Ever.because end hostilities exists and you will always have a clear board backed with counterspells before you ever have the chance to cast a pearl lake.

This is the exact deck I'm using now, and I really like Jace. His minus is useful, and the plus ability helps me smooth my draws out. There has only been one time when I have actually seen two cards off his plus ability that I wanted to keep both of, which is pretty good since I've been playing the deck since November. Also, it makes Dig Through Time much easier to cast for cheap.

Well if I had this deck, I would replace the Resolute Archangel with the Clever Impersonator other then that it's a very well developed deck.
