Monastery Siege
-- Great draw card for this deck, also discard enchants (the more costly ones) to trigger Starfield of Nyx even more.. a free sigil or a free suppresion is great!!
Narset Transcendent
-- Another draw ability, and the ultimate is especially nice for this deck
Pacifism -- Pretty straight forward card, normally played on cards that don't have ta abilities
Sigil of the Empty Throne
-- great card for this deck, everything is pretty much enchants so this triggers often..
Silkwrap
-- Great card, gets rid of a lot of the top creatures being played right now.
Singing Bell Strike
-- great against agro, and hangarback walkers - but great in general.. tap 6 to untap to attack with it.
Stasis Snare -- another great staple card for many decks, best thing about this is gets rid if the popular Gideon, or really any attacking creature.. if Sigil is out it also creates a 4/4
Suppression Bonds
-- Mainly used on PW's but also good against others with activated abilities.
Tightening Coils
-- A new favorite, -6/0 is nothing to laugh at.. and gets rid of flying... amazing against agro decks and dragon decks.
Starfield of Nyx -- Bread and butter of the deck, it itself isn't a creature enchant but it makes every other non aura enchant a creature.. on top of the cards you discarded coming back to the battlefield.... yes that's right battlefield for no cost and they can't be countered
I've tested this against Abzan Mid-range, U/R Prowess, landfall, W/G counters, Four-Color Rally.. all these I seem to do well against..
FNM First try - 2-2
Match 1: Ramp into Ulamog and Ugin. With only 8 cards within the deck that are win con the rest is ramp ramp ramp it's hard fo rmy deck to go against this. Thankfully people are fading away from it because it's easily beaten by most other decks.
Match 2: Same as before Ramp into Ulamog and Ugin
Match 3: Eldrazi Ramp.. did great against this deck. Locked down all the non tokens with pacifsim, singing bell strike, tightening coils and got rid of his tokens with silkwrap and stasis snare. Ulamog also came out and killed it with a stasis snare before attack... side boarded in my immolating glare and anticipates. Took out my dispel and negate. Just stomped on it second game
Match four: Super friends tokens - first game was rough though I pulled it off my locking down his tokens and creating 4/4 flyers with sigil... game two I side boarded in my suppresions bonds for tightening coils. Able to counter his secure the wastes I knew he was going to add with dispel and negates helped a lot with PW's. Only used one suppresions bonds and swung with 1 sigil 1 4/4 2 starfield and 1 monastery siege
With this FNM run I realized sky wise teachings was bad and removed it
Went 3-1 this time
Match 1: Esper controls: Lost 1-2Game 1) Locked everything down of hers and she concededGame 2) Side boarded in my suppression bonds for tightening coils - Lost to her taking out every creature type but ojutai and jace... pure counter and draw left within the deckGame 3) Took out suppression bonds for my spell shrivel to run 10 counters a lot closer game that the previous one came down to turns and she was able to exile the enchant locking down her ojutai with utter end and swinging winning by one point
Match 2: Abzan Mid Range: Won 2-0Game 1) He got out Warden of the first tree, was able to pump it and deal 3 dmg before I silk wrapped it... I got out monastery siege with khans to go through my deck quicker.. he got out hangarback walker I silk wrapped that, next was siege rhino and stasis snare... my turn put out starfield and swing for 7.. he brings out another hangarback and I singing bell strike and he concededsGame 2) Pretty similar to first game
Match 3: Eldrazzi Ramp - ROFL stomped no sideboard Won 2-0 in under 10 minutes.
Match 4: Four color rally... Won 2-0... hard stretch for it though. Silkwrap and stasis snare saved for cutthroat and husk... everything else laid down on the others. ended up getting my three starfields out and bring back 3 enchants each upkeep and swining for 15Game 2) I sideboarded in my immolating glare for the negates kept the dispel to counter the rally. Baited him in trying for lethal with sac husk being a 14/14 immolating glare and dispel'd his rally right after.
