Went 4-1 on my first FNM in lotsa years with this budget beatdown deck.

My matches were as following:

vs Red Deck Wins: 2-0, vs G/W Aggro: 2-0, vs G/W/R Aggro: 2-0, vs G/R Aggro: 2-0, vs B/R Burn Control: 1-2 (after a tight game)

It's full of nice synergies and can completely overwhelm an unprepared opponent. Has a very strong matchup against aggro decks but dreads the Esper Control more than anything. It's a really fun, but somewhat difficult aggro deck to play, with lots of mind games.

The general idea is simple: Enchant heroic guys for awesome value whilst protecting them with Gods Willing , Mizzium Skin and against burn Triton Tactics and the sheer toughness of your creatures works well. It's possible to aquire a turn 4 kill, although that requires that you over commit, and often you don't want to do that.

We have lots and lots of scry which helps us sort away bad draws, making this deck topdeck more than others. Ordeal of Thassa often triggers the round you play it making its value incredible for just two mana, especially if you scryed before the trigger. The heroic guys need no explanation right?

Ethereal Armor + Aqueous Form is our bread and butter beatdown method. We have a total of 16 enchantments, though really only 12 since Ordeal of Thassa gets sacrificed. Ethereal Armor is still awesome like in the "real" Bogle deck, simply cause it turns every creature in the deck into a monster.

Hopeful Eidolon might seem random but it holds it's own with an Ethereal Armor strapped on. Also you can pump it with Phalanx Leader making the aggro players cry even more. Bestowed on an unblockable Fabled Hero it won me two games!

The sideboard is pretty simple. We have Fiendslayer Paladin vs certain control or red decks. More Mizzium Skin , Dispel and Rootborn Defenses vs Esper control and the like. Triton Tactics and Gift of Orzhova make sure that he aggro matchup is tilted a whole lot in our favor. Triton Tactics is simply amazing in this deck vs all aggro and burn.

When I played I had a lot of luck with the meta and my matchups. I hadn't playtested the deck at all so I didn't know what to expect. But with all the Triton Tactis, first strike, lifelink etc etc the aggro decks rarely stood a chance. I would have won the final vs the B/R control but I made some shitty plays that cost me the game.

All help with this deck would be much appreciated cause I feel like tinkering with it and playing with it for quite some time. It's an incredibly fun and cheap way to play aggro.

Have a nice one! :)
