A kind of stupid and durdly but very fun heroic deck. The aim is to get some early heroic dudes (ideally favored hoplite) and cipher hidden strings for some really silly heroic-triggering shenanigans.
(I got the original idea from Rogue Deckbuilder but I've played with it a little bit)
Meletis astronomer is there for digging up enchantments like aqueous form, eidolon of countless battles and most importantly banishing light. Gods willing is just there for protecting your guys, and because it's awesome.
Ideal opening turns:
T1: Land > Favored Hoplite
T2: Land > Hidden Strings targeting hoplite (but choosing not to tap) and untapping a blue land, and cipher onto hoplite > Aqueous Form > attack (and scry) > cipher cast hidden strings targeting either hoplite and white land (to present god's willing) or just two lands and cast a two mana creature.
If you can pull off a good hand, a 4/5 unblockable guy with endless heroic potential on turn two is pretty hard to deal with. Pretty ridiculous and not very competitive but it's a blast to play with!
Sideboard wise, ajani's presence is for supreme verdict, ordeal of heliod is for racing burn and aggro and claustrophobia is for dealing with stormbreath dragon since banishing light can't. Phalanx leader is just there for if you want to take out the atronomer and focus on the beats.
Let me know what you think!
