Land (1)

This deck is amazing good. Wishing I found it 4 months ago, and surprised nobody else did. Can it survive the new set? Any good cards to help it move forward?

Tokens and Card Draw

Thopter Spy Network and Jhessian Thief get cards, especially with Whirler Rogue to help.

Pilgrim's Eye ensures you get there. On turn 3, you get a 1/1 flyer and a free land. Nobody wants to kill a 1/1, then turn 4 you surprise them with the spy network, attack, draw a free card, and value town.

Game Plan

Restraint: Early on, exile creatures that matter. Play creatures and artifacts if you have nothing better to do. Get to 4 mana with your life stable.

Shifting gears: Bring in the Whirler, the Spy Network and shift into the next gear. So what happens? On your upkeep, FREE thopter. Then attack with another thopter, draw a FREE card, then cast a spell for the turn (perhaps kill something), and then chump block with the extra thopter. Repeat every turn for AMAZING card advantage, better than Ob Nixilis. (And our thopters are pretty good at killing Ob if he shows up. He's not great at killing our thopters.)

Pulling Ahead: Now, we have a decent supply of mana, some little creatures, and an endless supply coming after that. Use Quarantine Field and Stasis Snare to eliminate their threats. Use the colorless lands to gain life if you're low.

Crushing it: Pump your team with Gideon, Valor in Akros, Chief of the Foundry, War Horn , Ruination Guide . Your tiny creatures become big creatures and swing for like 10+ points of damage. Repeat until the game is won.

Color Options

Blue and white are the essential colors. You could add green (Dromoka's Command), red (e.g. Thopter Engineer, Jeskai spells) or black (Sorin's nice). Just avoid double colored spells in the third color because the mana won't work easy.

Sideboard

Profaner of the Dead is great vs all the aggro decks.

Celestial Flare is good vs dragons of all colors (except Dromoka if it is attacking). Just try to make sure they don't have a ton of attackers. Usually it's no problem; who swings little guys into a swarm of flying 2/1s?
