This is a U/W control deck shell splashing colorless for Reality Smasher as a wincon. I like the idea of getting a reality smasher out and having counterspell back up for it, because regardless of if I counter their spell or not, they still have to discard to target it, and it can end the game quickly. This is a quick list that I haven't built yet, for financial reasons, and would like feedback before I start to put it together. Currently about $200 away from having all of the cards on this list. No sideboard yet, but It'll most likely be a basic U/W sideboard plan; stony silence, rest in peace, hurkyl's recall, more wincons, etc.
This is the first draft of an idea that I had, which was to used Reality Smasher in a control shell, and protect it with countermagic, such as Remand, Mana Leak, etc. I feel that it will synergize well with countermagic, board wipes, and targeted removal. They'll need two removal spells and two cards to discard to attempt removing a Reality Smasher in the face of open mana.
Additionally, Pact of Negation can be used in the counterspell suite to protect your smasher the turn you drop it, seeing as when you cast Reality Smasher you'll already have 5 mana, and most likely will have UU.
This is definitely not a finished list, I just wanted to throw this idea out into the community, because I feel that it deserves exploring. If this has already been explored/already has a primer, please feel free to PM me a link to that!
