I've been testing this deck for about a week now, and I really like the feel of it. It runs counters, because when it gets what it wants, it can really slow the game down, but it can profitably tap out early and play the pace of the opponent (sweepers, 2-for-1'ing, PW's).

I picked Red Sun's Zenith over Devil's Play because I want a recyclable answer to Strangleroot Geist and Geralf's Messenger (not quite as much of a problem as pre-AVR) in the main, and I can't rely on ever having RRR in a game.

The only thing I'm having some small trouble with is the manabase. It's definitely janky, but the more I've been fixing it up, the more I've been able to get the colors I need when I need them.

Sideboard:

Nihil Spellbomb for the obvious control and Frites matchups. I have 2 black sources (in the Vessels).

Nevermore for Wolf Run. Yes, Wolf Run. With them playing Cavern, I can't profitably deal with multiple Titans, so I just won't let them be cast. Obviously not great, but I need a way to deal with that deck.

Pillar of Flame for RG. Once again, I can tap out against RG, and be fine. I usually take out Mana Leaks anyway (especially on the draw). Timely Reinforcements and Whipflare are also there for RG, but the Whipflare also helps a lot against White aggro (various forms of humans). Dealing with the Champion into Thalia draw is really nice.

Ray of Revelation and Ancient Grudge should be obvious.
