This is my semi-budget UWR Delver deck! I say semi-budget because I have no fetch lands nor vendillion cliques, and I don't see myself getting them any time soon. Ill run through a few cards I have chosen and why I chose them over other cards very briefly. Young pyromancer is in the deck because with the number of counter spells and burn spells, this card is just so powerful. I accept that both this card and delver are prone to the removal of modern, but that's why git probe is in the deck, it can be cast turn 1 or 2 to check for kill spells, and assuming they don't top deck one, allows us to clear a delver or pyromancer and protect it with counter magic the following turn. The rest of deck is fairly standard. Some people at my locals have noted that they think geist of saint traft should be an inclusion, however it doesn't fit in with the game plan of the deck. I accept that it is a very powerful card, however I feel like by turn 3 I should have stuck a threat and be protecting it or I should still be digging. Wrath of god in the board could ideally be swapped out for verdicts or more hurkyl's recall if affinity gets bigger at my locals, but the can't be regenerated is handy given my local meta, and the cant be countered effect of verdict would not be as relevant. I look forward toany feedback, keep in mind I have a very limited budget when leaving comments, and that this is my first 'tournament' capable deck. Thanks!
