Sideboard

Maybeboard

Creature (1)

A reactive deck. Basically tries to beatdown your opponent using Geist of Saint Traft and also trying to minimize opponent's board presence while doing that.

first thoughts when creating the deck was Isochron Scepter and Boros Charm. Blue was the best third color choice for cantrips and counterspells. Then Muddle the Mixture , Dizzy Spell came in for the transmute option.

Lockdowns available for Isochron Scepter:

Angel's Grace: for me, this is the best lockdown because if unanswered, it eliminates the most common win condition which is reducing opponent to 0 life points. in the early turns, this combination won't have much impact unless the opponent knows that he wont be able to destroy the scepter. in the late game, it creates a sort of mini game between the players as to who draws the finishing card first. It really makes this game a little more exciting!

Silence: a truly rage-quit causing combination. Your opponent cannot cast a spell during his turn while you save up your counters, draw your important cards, set up other isochrons, this will really pressure your opponent to answer this combination as early as possible.

Boros Charm: can be a recurring 4 damage when opponent does not have answer to isochron, can be a recurring indestructibility for isochron.

Into the Roil: can buy you enough time to dig up a finisher from your deck, can also be kicked for additional card draw.

Remand: a recurring counterspell for opponent while drawing your important cards. Not a strong target for Isochron Scepter but this option is available every once in a while.

additional notes:

Academy Ruins can bring back your scepter to your hand.

Meddling Mage on the sideboard to name cards like Extirpate , Slaughter Games , Surgical Extraction, etc..
