Vadrok, Apex of Thunder presents an interesting deckbuilding challenge: fine tuning a balance of creatures for the purpose of mutating with a graveyard full of spells that Vadrok can recast from the graveyard via mutation.

This deck has... mutated, since it's inception.

I've ditched the artifact wincons, and stepped away from swinging with Vadrok (although that is still totally viable!)

Through playing the deck, it has proven to be quite effective to bounce Vadrok and a couple simple mutate targets (including ol buddy Rograkh, Son of Rohgahhh!) back to my hand and recasting the stack to recycle the 3 mana value cards in my graveyard. So cards like Sanctum of Eternity , String of Disappearances , and Unsummon .

Kaldheim also brought to the table Birgi, God of Storytelling   which presents some intriguing opportunities! By utilizing untap spells like Frantic Search and Snap , I can utilize Vadrok's mutate trigger to cast multiple spells in my turn, triggering Birgi to generate in influx of mana. Currently I don't have an amazing outlet for that mana, so if you can think of one let me know!

This has been an amazing deck to play!
