@Iggiesauros-2 swamp +2 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx will really help you level up the assassin really quickly, -2 Sign in Blood +2 Read the Bones and Hero's Downfall instead of Murder .

Bloodghast would be really good in any vampire deck if you are willing to pay 7$ for each one

@[benfig1127] What would you replace for them?

Pulse Tracker although it is not a bad card, Bloodghast 's recurring ability is just amazing and you already have 8 other 1 drops so adding another 2 drop would actually help your mana curve a lot

Thank you for the help.

Been play testing this afternoon and decided you need +1 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx . -7 swamps +4 Cavern of Souls +2 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth . Sideboard inquisition +1 Ultimate Price +1 Captivating Vampire

CoachCudaback says... #8

Now my suggestion besides the land base will screw up the curve

October 7, 2014 10:58 p.m.

CoachCudaback says... #9

Since the curve is going up -2 inquisition +2 swamp

why is Dismember not here? or Thoughtseize or even Geth's Verdict

October 16, 2014 1:33 p.m.

Iggiesauros says... #13

Dismember and Geth's Verdict would go very well in this deck but I do already have Thoughtseize

October 16, 2014 1:42 p.m.

tyforthevenom says... #14

it's not a playset, doesn't count

October 16, 2014 1:45 p.m.

Iggiesauros says... #15

I don't think I would need a playset of it for me to win.

I don't like Sorin in vampires, as good as he is as a card and as much as I love Sorin as a character. Vampires like curving out at 4 (5 is pushing it) and running a healthy supply of 1 and 2 mana cards. For better one mana creatures, consider Viscera Seer , Pulse Tracker , and Vampire Lacerator . If you opt to run the bloodghast + viscera seer combo, think about using a few fetch lands (thank you, Khans of Tarkir), which help improve your deck's consistency either way.

Oh, and might I recommend Mutavault as a one-of?

As for your sideboard, here are some good outs to common decks:

Burn: Dragon's Claw

Pod: Torpor Orb

Tron and Scapeshift: Surgical Extraction and Ghost Quarter

Storm: Mindbreak Trap

Affinity: Ratchet Bomb and Engineered Explosives

Delver, Zoo and Jund: Smother

Infect: Spellskite

Misc: Relic of Progenitus , Pithing Needle , Vampire Hexmage , Phyrexian Metamorph , among others.

what about Sorin, Solemn Visitor life link cares not about your current health only your damage

Really love the help YamishiTheWickedOne. It's funny because Pulse Tracker Was once in this deck. But I'll make the changes and add the sideboard cards. Finding some Fetch Lands will be nice.

Not sure on Sorin, Solemn Visitor . Though it is a very good card.

Go for the Throat is better than Ultimate Price . Artifact creatures are not colored, so Ultimate Price can't target them anyway, and its "monocolored" condition is more restrictive than "non-artifact".

I already have more Go for the Throat than Ultimate Price . So I'm not sure exactly what you're telling me other than I can't use it on colorless cards which I already know.

You have 3 GFTT and 2 UP. If you had 4 GTTF and 1 UP, the deck would be better, without any room for argument. You're weakening it for no reason.

np :)

Sorry I wasn't more clear in the original post

Doom Blade ? Geth's Verdict ? Dismember ? Tragic Slip ? I like all of these over Ultimate Price.

i see 2 big Problems whit your deck

one your mana curve is way off... you have 10 one drops, 3 two drops 10 three drops and 4 four drops. because 95% of the time you will want to keep the Gatekeeper of Malakir in your hand until you can pay the kicker cost so Gatekeeper is realy a 3-drop... so you realy need more 2-drops or else you will be one turn behind more games than not Vampire Hexmage Blood Artist something... try 8 cards in each CMC whit only 4 Vampire Nocturnus as finishers

second... i actualy think you have way to much removal. not only you have 7 instant "destroy target creature" you have 3 hand removal and and 8 vampires whit destruction habilities a total of 18 cards... i sugest to keep the number around 8 or 10 and use the extra slots to add something else... i suggest more card draw. like Sign in Blood so you get your Vampire Nocturnus faster... and can change the top card if it is a land

so the main thing i will suggest is Vampire Hexmage is a good 2 drop vampire whit PW removal habilities so you can stop runing heros dawnfall
