Maybeboard

Based on the foundation of 2017's "Vampire Bloodlust" deck with Edgar Markov as the featured commander.

The main win conditions here are to drain all your opponents of life via vampires, ETB effects, spells and enchantments while gaining life at the same and using that life to maintain a healthy resource advantage (mana and card draw). The secondary win is aggressive casting of vampires along with vampire token generation that also fuels resource advantage and drain life effects.

We have tuned the deck a bit away from it's precon state with some more effective and efficient vampires, spells, and mana ramp, and some late-game beaters.

There are many synergies and great mini combos in here, especially easy token generation combined with the artifact Skullclamp for powerful card draw, but if you want some serious combo power leading to instant win conditions, we recommend adding Mana Echoes and Phyrexian Altar. With these two cards, plus the aforementioned Skullclamp, you can combo into essentially infinite mana and card draw, which will trigger not only enormous amounts of Life Drain, but also a simply huge vampire army for attacking and triggering dozens of effects in a single turn.

How it works is dropping cheap vampires that our Commander, Edgar Markov, creates tokens with from the Command Zone. Those Vampires all generate mana via Mana Echoes. The 1/1 vampire tokens are equipped with Skullclamp which instantly kills the token with -1 to toughness, triggering card draw. Do it enough, while also dropping all the mana ramp you find, and then you can sacrifice vampires to Phyrexian Altar to get specific mana colors for everything else you need. Simply add a few tutors to find these combo cards sooner rather than later, and you can have a very fast deck at the table!

For me, I'm not really in to infinite combos and it's not really appreciated in my local meta, so I leave those particular cards out and focus more on the "fun" side of it, using ETB effects, recursion, and direct damage via drains to control the board ... or simply go full aggression, depending on how things are looking in 1v1 or multiplayer games.

Enjoy!
