THINKING...

Yes, I have the Leonin Relic-Warder combo since I already have Animate Dead and Blood Artist in here. My headcanon is that Leonin is like an outcast Khajiit that's been accepted by the vampires. (I know khajiit are Elder Scrolls and not MTG, but I don't care!) Vampiric Tutor, Diabolic Intent, and Rune-Scarred Demon are my tutors. I do have a spare Demonic Tutor in my binder, but not sure I want to make this a deck that just tutors for a combo because that's less fun. If I wanted a deck that can reliably combo, I'd play cEDH. Vampiric Tutor wins the flavor award. I got a copy years ago in German before the card became a cringe bougie exclusive. Why don't WotC reprint that? We need it now that they're rolling out so many new good vamps! Scheming Symmetry is genuinely my favorite tutor now due to its political nature, and I should buy another copy before it too becomes blood-chillingly overpriced.

Another obvious combo is Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond, which I avoided for a long time due to it being an overplayed combo, but not so much anymore. Wizards reprinted Exquisite Blood, so now's the time to add it.

BUT STILL...

Vampires are fun, deck is fun, there's a lot going on each turn. Turns out it's about the right power level for my playgroup, so I can give myself a gentle pat on the back. Haven't won with it yet, but I'll pull that off one of these days (now that I have new glasses with bifocals and hopefully stop missing triggers! Oof!)

P.S. I'm so happy I bought the Edgar Markov precon when I did. I only did it because I happened to be away from home and wanted to play. The fact that he's almost a hundred damn dollars now is so cringe! Find a group that's okay with proxies. I'd play you if you proxied him, or even if you proxied your whole deck. Who cares? It's the same game.

MORE VAMPIRES!

I happen to know one of my close family members is giving me the Crimson Vow pre-con "Vampiric Bloodline" to me for Christmas, so ... MORE VAMPS! I'm gonna have a second vampire deck for sure! Very excited about that.

Okay, it's my mom. My mom is buying it for me. My mom's pretty dope.

Will I create a second vampire deck with a blood token theme, or will they somehow join the crew here? Stay tuned!

I played against someone who has a slightly upgraded blood token pre-con, so yeah it gets WILD with all those blood tokens, so OH YES MORE VAMPIRS!
