Sometimes it's best to keep things simple, and this deck has a singe goal in mind: to make it rain
Shaman of the Pack
until the opponent is out of life. Since you're unfortunately only allowed to have 4 Shamans in a 60 card deck, that means we need some creative ways to find multiples every game.
CREATURES
Elvish Mystic
/
Llanowar Elves
: Every Elf deck needs its 1-drop dorks. In this case, ramp will help get into the 4-drops & Garruk early while also enabling multi-spell turns in the midgame, as supplied by the card advantage engines.
Paradise Druid
: The 2-drop Elf dork of choice due to the fact that it can create mana of any color. The 2 power & hexproof are a nice bonus.
Dwynen's Elite
: Creates 2 Elves for Shamaning & Convoking for Chords.
Elvish Visionary
: Classic cantrip Elf that both adds to the board & digs for the rest of the pieces.
Shaman of the Pack
: If there's one tribe that knows how to vomit creatures all over the battlefield, it's Elves.
Beast Whisperer
: Card advantage engine that can chain off huge turns alongside the 1- and 2-drops, digging for Shamans or tutors.
Prime Speaker Vannifar
: Somewhere in that crowded creature type is the word "Elf," and the Prime Speaker just so happens to be a perfect enabler for Shaman as well. There are plenty of 2-drops around to upgrade, and you can even trade in a Shaman for Spark Double if you have another one around to copy.
Spark Double
: Mainly there to serve as extra copies of Shaman, but this particular Clone-variant can also copy Vannifar for double-tutoring if you don't have a Shaman, and even Beast Whisperer or Garruk if you want to go crazy with card advantage.
NONCREATURES
Westvale Abbey
: A 2-of that offers an alternate win con. Hitting both the mana & creature count requirements are cake in an Elf deck.
Garruk, Caller of Beasts
: No card scrounges creatures out of the library like this version of Garruk, as he digs deep for Shamans & grabs plenty of bodies to amplify it along the way.
Chord of Calling
: While Vannifar is susceptible to removal before being a repeatable tutor option, Chord is a one-time tutor that can't be stopped save for counters. Getting Shamans is obviously the main idea, but it can also be smart to sneak in Vannifar on the opponent's end-step.
