An attempt on a budget Varina, Lich Queen Deck with only a slight Zombie sub-theme.

The general idea is to slow the game with a lot of control and stuff like Rule of Law , Lavinia, Azorius Renegade , Grand Arbiter Augustin IV , Perplexing Chimera etc. without being to abnoxious and generate a lot of value with card-draw engines like Azor, the Lawbringer , Rhystic Study and Varina herself.

This helps you drawing into wincons like The Scarab God , Archfiend of Ifnir and Sphinx's Tutelage .

The deck is designed to be fun to play on a casual table and features a couple of cards that will bring fun and chaos for everyone, e.g. Death Match and Axis of Mortality . It should also encourage a lot of table-talk between the players.

I also did not inculde any tutors or "you-win-the-game" cards like Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite because it's honestly not fun to just win the game by dropping a single card or by grabbing the same things every single game.

The deck is by design not a full-on Zombie tribal, only a couple of cards support the Zombie theme and some of the best cards like Endless Ranks of the Dead were just too much IMO, a 3-4 Tokens + Varina are honestly all I need.
