This is a suicide red deck wins with graveyard abuse. I wanted to make the fasted deck possible for modern. This deck can easily pull off a turn 4 win. even without varolz there is enough burn in this deck to win by turn 3 (2x
Vexing Devil
4x Lightning Bolt ) Now since this deck does function better when I have the correct cards I run a very draw heavy main board.
Death's Shadow
is a great card in the right deck and I didn't want to just have him as a varolz feeder. I run this deck at a suicidal level so that I can play him turn 3 or 4 and be attacking with a 1 mana 6/6.
Abrupt Decay The best removal spell ever printed. It kills off any pesky enchantments that could keep me from attacking.
Ball Lightning
The reason this deck is jund. I wanted to be able to swing for 19 trample turn 4 and this guy make it happen.
Dark Confidant What can I say about this card that people don't alreasy know. Let's just say he is worth $70 for a reason. I built my deck around this cards effect.

Varolz, the Scar-Striped
has found a friend. The deck also runs enough suicide to actually use this as a playable card. Normally though he just winds up as lotleth feed.
the swords: I have been having a problem with Path to Exile so I put in the swords to help out. It has done its job perfectly. I run two differant swords so that if I do get both I will have protection from the three biggest removal colors. I don't care about the side effects I only run them for the protection.
Grisly Salvage I love this card. I used it in standard and absolutely fell in love. This card puts

in my hand. then turn 3 I drop a
Varolz, the Scar-Striped
and turn 4

Lightning Bolt do I even need to talk about this. It's a burn spell, this is a burn deck.

Manamorphose why isn't this card in every deck?!?!?!? it basically say "your deck is 56 cards" O and this card helps with color fixing too. all my lands tap for red (or fetch) so I will always be able to play Manamorphose. This card is overpowered!
Varolz, the Scar-Striped
the guy the deck is based around. This deck is basically a mono red deck splashing for this guy. A 2/2 for 3 with regenerate isn't half bad but that ability. Your graveyard has scavenge. WOW just WOW.
Vexing Devil
This card is perfect. I deal 4 damage to my opponent and then scavenge. Plus there are times where my opponent will flat out let this guy hit the field to keep him from hitting the grave yard. Just the idea of
Varolz, the Scar-Striped
has caused people to let this hit then Path to Exile it.
I run a transformative sideboard so that after my opponent sides in graveyard hate I can turn into a jund deck. I side out
