Strategy:

Drop Sorin Markov and use his +2. Next turn use Sorin Markov -3 to reduce enemy to 10 life. Play Sorin's Vengeance for the kill.

Currently im winning on turn 6-7 through goldfishing. Any advice for making this deck more survivable or executing the combo faster would be welcome!

Card Justifications

Sorin Markov + Sorin's Vengeance are the lynchpin of this deck. This takes an enemy from 100% to dead, which they usually don't see coming.

Black Sun's Zenith We need to stay alive, and this helps. Clears the board or seriously De-powers their threats. The only drawback is the reactionary nature. (only play when there's threats already on the board.)

Diabolic Tutor This deck relies on two specific cards to win, so I feel it's important to get them reliably.

Ichor Wellspring Draw cards to search for combo or land drops. Synergizes well with Phyrexia's Core

Mycosynth Wellspring Keep the tempo up for land drops. Our combo is very expensive.

Phrexia's Core Sac Ichor Wellspring or Mycosynth Wellspring to get additional cards. Lifegain helps us stay alive.

Pristine Talisman More mana sources on the board lets us combo earlier. Lifegain helps us stay alive.

Sphere of the Suns More mana sources on the board lets us combo earlier.

crypt ghasts Gives a huge boost in mana generation. In some cases lets us combo all in one turn.

Solemn Simulacrum Fishes for the lands we need, blocker, and gives card draw to search for our combo.

Go for the Throat some removal to deal with cards early on.

Swallowing Plague Creature removal and gives us something to sink mana into if we need it. Lifegain also helps us stay alive.
