Do you guys think Hangarback Walker would be good in this deck? I think it would be a good way to get back into play after a wrath effect.

I already have him in. I want Hangarback Walker for consistancy, I'm really vulnerable to wrath effects.

What about Draining Whelk to counter those wrath effects and leave a big dude?

I really never have that amount of mana available, that is why I use 1 and 2 CMC counterspells.
