GP Charlotte —June 11, 2016

Took this to GP Charlotte about three weeks ago and went 4-4 day one and dropped. I was feeling a little discouraged and decided to try out the super IQ on Sunday and got 13th place with this out of about 187 people. Pretty good!!! Ad Naseum kicked me out of top 8...it is essentially an unwinable match. This deck houses any and all permanent decks though (Jund, Merfolk, Nahiri), Tokens).

Stonehorn Dignitary? It was my creature of choice to use with Venser back in the day. Maybe as a 1-2 of?

Kalibroxin I actually did use stonehorn for a while but honestly Lavinia of the Tenth is basically stonehorn on crack. In modern she basically hits any target I need her to and can also detain creatures to get my creatures in for a free attack. Stonehorn is absolutely a good fit for this deck I just feel like Lavinia is the better pick here. Also, the pro red is a nice little touch :p

Player a similar deck and will borrow some ideas from yours if I may.I would suggest Steel of the Godhead as it fits beautiful on the Geist. The other suggest is maybe some etb lands that can be blinked like temple of enlightenment or radiant fountain.

My versions is a bit slower so will try the aggressive version next time

dyl_o_ville I think Steel of the Godhead is a great card....however, if I enchant a creature with it and decide that I want to flicker that creature, the enchantment will go to the graveyard which is a bit counter intuitive. If I really want to make a creature unblockable I'll just minus 1 on the plansewalker. I actually had two temples in the deck but with the temples and the colonnades I was often missing important creature drops because of the lands coming in tapped. Was a tough choice to take them out but in the long run I believe it was the better choice.Either way ty for the upvote!

I am considering dropping Geist of Saint Traft for two more Reflector Mage I am often disappointed when I draw into a geist because he has nothing to do with control and he has no flicker ability's. Often times he is a pretty dead draw, where as with Reflector Mage I'll get so much more value. Thoughts??
