Some changes from when I first started this deck two years ago. It's been a fun journey updating this deck and finally coming to a very strong competitive deck featuring some very underutilized cards in the modern format. It is no a more flash based creature control style with a strong curve to 5 mana at the top.

Mainboard changes:

+3 Spreading Seas +4 Spell Queller +1 Negate +1 Sphinx's Revelation +2 Ghost Quarter

Sideboard flex spots have been as follows - 3 Leyline of Sanctity I felt this card was very hit or miss and drawing it late game was not as good as just drawing another counterspell or negate. Felt awkward a lot of the times so took it out of the sideboard completely -2 Supreme Verdict When I started this deck I was initially running 3 in the mainboard. With the addition of Spell Queller it often times felt awkward to play killing my own quellers and giving them back the card that I exiled with them. For that reason I cut them down to the sideboard. Even then, I still rarely brought it in feeling it was just never a good fit with how many creatures I run compared to the 4 Snapcaster Mage U/W list. +1 Render Silent I added this to shut down storm and other combo decks. It is also one of the first rares I cracked when I started playing magic years ago and has very sentimental value to what blue white control is all about. Just so happens to be a strong card in the current meta so I said why not. +1 Celestial Purge I added this after frustratingly getting shut down by Blood Moon and Liliana of the Veil +1 Azor, the Lawbringer This new card from ixalan seems very good as I can blink it with venser and Restoration Angel to shut down sorcery speed combo decks. it's a very good draw late game and I feel it will be a powerful addition. +1 Negate I like the idea of potentially having 3 in the mainboard at any given time to take out Spreading Seas when it is not needed. +1 Blessed Alliance Since I took out leyline of sanctity I really needed some lifegain. Its also very good for sacrifice effect and untapping two of my creatures which I run a lot of.
