INNISTRAD: Gawd...so much WANT!

Parallel Lives- double golems

Skaab Ruinator - yeah...

Essence of the Wild - Eh...maybe

Divine Reckoning - Replacing Day of Judgment instantly. Might even mainboard one or two copies.

Fiend Hunter- Enter The Battlefield exploitation?

Kessig Cagebreakers- I'm pretty sure I'll have stuff in my graveyard. 5 drops have always felt weak as far as aggro goes. This guy will fix that.

Anything I missed? What other ->BANT<- cards should I take out of Innistrad? And if I do, what should they replace?

9-22: Took this to a FDN last week. Went 4th out of 24. I swept every round, losing only to Green/White swords. That round was really lost due to bad shuffling. I never drew a blue mana source (two vensers in hand...) and both games I didn't draw a pod. The games were never one sided, but I was still swept.

9-6: I took the deck to a standard tournament, and did pretty mediocre. I went 6th out of 15 or something like that. But, here is what I learned:

*This is not a control deck, and I'm giving up on adding o-rings, mana leaks, and venser-stonehorns. This is an aggro deck. I flooded golems in so fast that without any removal my opponents couldn't keep up. I out aggro'd aggro decks. When my opponents got their titans out, I would just roll venser down, usually for lethal.

*Minic Vat is broken. People wouldn't attack me purely because I had a vat out and a blade splicer blocker. DoJs never worked out in their favor. Sometimes I stole their stuff, like once I actually got a Hero of Bladehold in that vat, because he hadn't realized I would kill a golem and splicer (blocking it) to get that hero in a vat.

*Hero of Bladehold belongs in this deck. It creates an army, pumps my golems, and guarantees a win when I roll Venser down.

*Phantasmal Image wins games. It is soooo undercosted, and sooo overpowered with Mimic Vat.

*Two Vensers ain't enough. I need three. He wins games no problem. I only drew into him three or four times that night, out of around 11 games.

*24 land is overkill. I lost a third game in a round because I drew 6 lands and a bird. When I sideboarded, I took out two or three lands. I am going to cut the lands down significantly. Somewhere around 20-21 should be enough. Maybe 22. Hard casting Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite was a possibility every game. I don't like that. This isn't green acceleration, this is birthing pod.

Venser seems to be growing in popularity. So has Blade Splicers and Birthing Pods. I decided to see what happens when they all make buddies with each other. Comments and suggestions are more than welcome. I think I might run this deck a few times at a FNM, or at least give it to one of my siblings.

So...here's how it goes.I play my walls and birds in the early game, or Mana Leak my opponent's spells. It depends on what is in my hand. Then, I bring out some splicers. Turns four and five are either Pod time or Venser time. Pod time means I turn my birds into walls and my walls into splicers and go for the offense. Venser time means I exile my splicers...and win unless my opponent is lucky enough to have a Doom Blade at the ready.

Everything in this deck complements Venser. Oblivion Rings can be recycled when I see something worse than what I exiled, Acidic Slime is a pain in the ass every turn, Stonehorn Dignitary is a goblin's worst nightmare, the splicers give me a new golem every turn, or if I add him in (he's there for splicer/Oring hate), Sun Titan gives me TWO fetches a turn. All I have to do is build an army and then move Venser down for the victory. I mean...who runs Fog anyway?
