An attempt at block constructed that will eventually be expanded into regular standard once Ravinca rotates out and the new set comes in
The main win con of this deck are its terrifying monsters, such as Polukranos, World Eater, Stormbreath Dragon and
Hydra Broodmaster
which are all beefy, well costed beaters for their mana cost, but become so much more vicious when their monstrosity is activated.
The backbone of the deck lies in the ability to get out the monsters quickly, which is done by both Sylvan Caryatid and
Voyaging Satyr
, voyaging satyr also has synergy with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx as an added bonus.
Finally, Magma Jet and
lighting strike
work to kill off weenies or bring the last bits of life total down to zero, with Courser of Kruphix being an early blocker against aggressive decks and making land drops more consistent
Xenagos, God of Revels may only be a one of, and not great in every situation, but when he hits, he hits hard, and his game winning ability defiantly includes him as a one of surprise
Polis Crusher is utter boss in block, but will probably be cut when better options arise in the upcoming sets.
