Seal of Primordium is my anti Blood Moon card of choice. I need to update my deck list since I decided to go combo. I think Trinket Mage is going to find his way back into the deck.
March 20, 2015 2:25 p.m.
So I decided to go with Melira, Sylvok Outcast because the infect match is just that bad (the match). Now, I'd say just about every match is slightly favorable.

If you had more artifact tutors coughTrinket Magecough and/or another Tolaria West, you can search for your hate. (Chalice of the Void & Engineered Explosives). The One thing that will still hurt is Become Immense.
March 20, 2015 9:55 p.m.
Yup, Become Immense on an Inkmoth Nexus is quite deadly. If I had faster land hate (at instant speed) that could be a possibility, but unfortunately, I don't think anything castable exists... (Fulminator Mage would work, but the mana cost is a little hard to hit that fast).
For now, Melira, Sylvok Outcast will just have to suffice as a psuedo-Elderscale Wurm for the infect match.

I've been playing with the Path to Exile main instead of Judge Unworthy recently, with Mind Bend in the side for all the Blood Moon matches. Man does it make people think twice about casting Blood Moon after you get them with it once, it's amazing on decks that rely on their nonbasics becoming mountains, but are instead stuck with forests rofl...

The Colors are iffy for this deck, but I love SBing Deflecting Palm against infect.
March 26, 2015 12:57 p.m.
That's a very interesting idea that I've never thought of, I'll have to see if there's any use for fog-type effects (and hopefully find a multi-colored one with more friendly colors), thanks!
So I looked a little bit, and discovered Batwing Brume which would accomplish the same thing against infect for , and also becomes a Rakdos Charm for all intents and purposes against Splinter Twin for
.
I can't thank you enough, as those were definitely my two most difficult matches, and this card answers both quite nicely.
March 27, 2015 12:52 a.m.
Using Batwing Brume as a wish might be tricky.
If your infect opponent sees you grab it at sorcery speed, they can play around it by pacing their pump spells or baiting the fog effect to let Become Immense get through the next turn.
March 30, 2015 6:47 p.m.
It doesn't matter if they can play around it, it will still slow them down by doing so, which is all I really need (less effective against Splinter Twin as they can wait for open mana to counter it).
I wouldn't be wishing for it games 2/3 either, it will get sided in, and wishes sided out, as that is how I play against faster decks. It's done pretty well so far, I really like it.

A multicolored card that I think that you should use is Deflecting Palm. Saving yourself a turn from death, say by preventing damage from Cranial Plating or in the mirror can mean the difference between winning/losing. In the mirror, stopping Primeval Titan's or any other game where there are Siege Rhino's or large creatures, Deflecting Palm can be anywhere from a 4-10 life difference for two mana.

It'd be replacing Batwing Brume which is just a lot easier to cast, and slightly more versatile, in my opinion anyway. I am not really capable of playing as a tempo deck against the decks it'd do useful damage against, so I'd still have to get through with something big to secure the win anyway.
I just find Batwing Brume to be slightly more useful than Deflecting Palm, both for the accessibility, and versatility. Two off colored costs can be quite difficult to come by early enough, and even harder to keep open eot without wasting some green mana. The main deciding factor for me was how quickly I could consistently cast the spell for what I wanted it for. Batwing Brume has proven useful against infect, and especially any Splinter Twin variant, post board. Deflecting Palm seems to do more than Batwing Brume's mode, but it isn't fast enough for my particular manabase (consistently anyway). If I can't cast it early enough, it is of no use to me.

While I enjoy playing the "overdone" hivemind version, I think this glittering wish package you have put together is genius. After my big tournament this weekend I think i'm gonna start play testing with something like this. Cheers!!!

Hey nbarry223 can you look at my new standard deck Jund Dragonlords of Tarkir I will accept any suggestions and try to implement them in my deck.
April 4, 2015 1:37 p.m.
Lately, I've been thinking about the Blood Moon problem. (In my local meta, it's a little ridiculous the number of Blood Moons that are played.)
What do you think of Chromatic Lantern or Terrarion?

Manamorphose is probably better than Terrarion because it's an instant and doesn't require the investment to play it tapped, maybe of you're worried about Dromoka's Command hitting amulets as well it could help. In general though the surprise of manamorphose would be better. Blood moon gives you the red mana
April 9, 2015 1:37 p.m.
The one case I can make for Terrarion is that if you resolve it early, it can't be countered.
The only thing worse than a Blood Moon is having Manamorphose get Cryptic Commanded while Blood Moon is in play.
April 9, 2015 2:24 p.m.
If Blood Moon is big in your meta, I'd definitely recommend making room for Mind Bend in the sideboard. There's nothing more satisfying than turning an opponent's card against themselves.
If I had to choose something to cut, I'd go with Ancient Stirrings, and probably move Reclamation Sage to the main, as it acts as 5 virtual copies (Summoner's Pact) of post-Blood Moon removal with a single green source. The 2/1 body and versatile removal effect isn't really dead against decks not running Blood Moon either, so it is a fairly solid switch.
April 10, 2015 12:41 a.m.
What makes this better than Bloom Titan running the Hive Mind combo? This just looks wildly more inconsistent.
April 24, 2015 6:20 p.m.
It's actually far more consistent, since it has resiliency. The Hive Mind combo is a lot of dead cards on their own, that need another combo to even produce the mana for them to function. That screams inconsistency.
I have answers, and "golden bullets" for just about any situation, where the Hive Mind deck does not. Try facing a counterspell-heavy deck, or one with a lot of discard, even Blood Moon can be a minor annoyance for this deck. You'd have to read the description to understand card choices, since I don't really want to explain why certain choices were made in a comment.

so looking at everything again, in a meta without significant control, I like Polukranos, World Eater more than Thrun, the Last Troll. there's some control in my meta so I'm testing it over Hornet Queen instead at the moment. it takes an extra turn, but it can also just hose a creature deck. depending on the board state ridiculous amounts of monstrosity can happen.
on polukranos with lots of mana, it's good to note that monstrous can be on the stack twice. so if you're using it to remove one or two creatures and someone responds with a kill spell, you can respond by triggering monstrous again (this would obviously be if a game got too slow or had absurd ramp that missed a win-con)
