Any other suggestions? There's still some "win more" cards in the deck, but I prefer them to other options I would call "win more". There's still plenty of room for improvement, I just haven't found anything better yet (demonstrated by tweaking the manabase for Hokori, Dust Drinker which I'm pretty sure is a novel idea that has never really seen competitive play).
The main thing I would like to see are solid turn 1/2 plays that aren't "dead draws" late game. Ancient Stirrings is a good example, of a card that sort of fits that mold, although it fails in some cases. With it, it represents possibilities, but if it only finds lands I don't want, it is essentially a dead draw. It can find combo pieces and colorless hate (artifacts) - so it does do its job most of the time.
Other cards that are nice are free cantrips. Manamorphose is a perfect example, which is also a psuedo answer to one of my most problematic cards, Blood Moon, and helps to color correct for my greedy manabase. I'm also open to other creatures etc. as there's always room for improvements.

I just wanted to say Hokori in Amulet is cool asf

Thanks. I really like it against other combo decks and control decks, but it doesn't do super well against aggro decks. Currently, the meta is pretty aggro deck heavy, but even so it does enough against combo/control for me to use it over other options.

Oh sorry, I completely forgot to reply to your last message. I don't really have any more suggestions for you. I would've said Expedition Map if you were gonna go with Urza's Saga, but I think you're right about Urza's Saga not being a great fit here.
I think your deck is pretty solid right now, but I'm sure there may be a couple other cards out there that might help you. If I come across any more cards that I think would work for your deck, I'll be sure to let you know!

Hey, man, updating my deck to it's current standards of play was definitely, in part, thanks to you, so I want to thank you for that :D. How come Anguished Unmaking over Despark if you're also running Abrupt Decay? Other than that, great idea for a deck, love what you've got going on

For me, I tend to side in my wishes when I can, for speed. So having a broader answer is more beneficial since I can side it in more often. Most decks run threatening permanents under 3 CMC (tron being the only exception I can think of) but not all run permanents over it.
For your deck, since you don’t side them in, Despark makes more sense.

Oh gotcha, that makes sense. Why not go all in on the Assassin's Trophy then?

I don’t like ramping my opponent as a general statement. I’d rather pay a little more to not ramp them. It’s definitely an option I’d consider if more lands were issues though. How’s sigarda been working out? I thought the cmc was a little high for you, but I could be wrong.

Has actually been working out great! Instead of hoping for Jack of all trades solutions, it made the board much more clean to just focus on what I wanted and use the best of each for that. Splitting it into silver bullets, combo pieces, and answers made it easy. Simplifying what I was trying to do also ended up freeing some slots, and I realized that's the glue I was missing

Also, how does your secret tech work in your deck? What allows it to be so one sided? Does it have to be in tandem with azusa or the dryad?
January 4, 2022 12:45 p.m.
Well, it lets me bounce that same bounce land to my hand and rinse and reuse. With amulet, that means I can generally produce 3-4 mana a turn vs their 1-2. If you throw the extra land play cards into the mix, it gets pretty broken and they just can’t recover.
It’s not really suited for the current meta which is aggro heavy, since it does essentially nothing against aggro comparatively.
However, I really like it in the games where I can use it, so I don’t mind having it in place of some of the options I seldom used anyway.

Ohhhh right I see, that's actually pretty nasty haha. And I've actually toyed with Root Maze, too, for my Curse Enchantress deck. What are your thoughts?
January 4, 2022 1:51 p.m.
It’s decent especially if you don’t run a lot of fetches. I would run 2-3 copies though because multiples do nothing. It hits fetches hard, since they come in tapped twice before you can use them.
I would definitely not run it if you run a lot of fetches.

Have actually come to realize that Crime and Revenge are pretty good as big spells, and Loxodon and Ashiok do great work as mid range threats. I think Dromoka and Sigarda are smart ideas though, an a definitely still have my eye on both of them.
January 15, 2022 11:45 p.m.
Yea. They are a little too high cmc for your deck to consistently have access to in my opinion. I feel anything over 4 cmc as a wish needs to basically end the game.
I’ll see if I can come up with any midrange threats that would make sense for you.

Would Slaughter Games be better than Unmoored Ego? I don't think is a problem most of the time and being uncounterable is frequently relevant (like if rhinos force of negations you)

"I don't think *mana is a problem" is what I meant to say
January 16, 2022 3:48 p.m.
I like being able to turn 3 them, and unmoored doesn’t have the non-land clause, so it does work against tron which is basically a race otherwise.
You’re correct with the uncounterable being relevant though, as I used to run it for that very reason.
January 19, 2022 12:40 p.m.
If something like splinter twin pops up in the meta where it’s basically a control combo deck, slaughter games would probably be worth it. In the current meta, I prefer unmoored ego.

Contemplating Sejiri Steppe vs. Sunhome, Fortress of the Legion as it accomplishes the same basic thing. Since it's triggered, removal can just be cast in response, so it doesn't really help with that. However, it's a single land that I don't have to invest 4 mana into that accomplishes the main goal of Sunhome, Fortress of the Legion, letting my titan live after attacking. It's also a tapped source instead of an untapped so there's that to consider as well. It's almost like the Slayers' Stronghold vs. Hanweir Battlements Meld comparison, but those actually help me to win, instead of being 'win-more' like Sejiri Steppe vs. Sunhome, Fortress of the Legion. I guess it doesn't really work against colorless like artifact creatures etc. either, so decks like tron and affinity would need to be considerations as well.
Anyone have any thoughts on which is better?

The Steppe is a good one but tricky. It depends on if you can wait around while it's in your hand or not. It also comes into play tapped, and only adds one color of mana. However, the fact that you can just drop it and it can make your creature unblockable or untargetable, without having to spend a single other mana, is quite lovely.
January 26, 2022 11:31 p.m.
Yeah, I was mainly thinking of it to replace the sunhome to protect my titan with a fetch after attacking. It does that better against most decks, and I found myself able to use it more often than I could the sunhome (unfortunately it doesn't work against eldrazi tron though).
I still side it out in a lot of matchups, because it is irrelevant in them more or less, but it does what I want it to do. I no longer have a straight line path to a turn 2 victory when I get an amazing hand, but that's a sacrifice I am willing to make, since I usually go for a safer turn 3 win anyway.
Also, I usually play my utility lands ASAP, especially tapped ones, because I can just copy them if I need to with Vesuva on a titan fetch. I don't have many early plays, so I can usually drop a tapped land my first turn if I don't have an amulet, or amulet makes it untapped.
I also took the opportunity to re-add fetches since I was shaking up my manabase. I'm 2 slots short of where I would like them to be at (another fetch and Yavimaya), but I sort of missed the added utility fetches gave me over the 5 color counterparts. They help against moon and interact with my cobra and courser quite nicely.
I may end up swapping back the fetches eventually, but I've been liking the steppe vs. sunhome so far.

Super excited for Boseiju, Who Endures; I'll probably be cutting my fetches I just fit in and going back to 5 color lands. Azusa's Many Journeys also seems playable in here, but I'm not sure if it'll make the cut.

Also worth mentioning is that unlike karn lists I don’t run a lot of artifacts so its construct mode is pretty irrelevant too. It also only can find an amulet, which as stated earlier, doesn’t really do much for me. I’d have to add Expedition Map to the list to make it as useful as Ancient Stirrings, which isn’t nearly as bad of a draw later on in the game, since it can replace itself in the same turn it is used and doesn’t use up my land drop to do so.
