+1. Awesome idea, very unique. I was really struggling with building Vish Kal and your list really helped. I made a few changes with some of my favorites like Cathars' Crusade and Chainer, Dementia Master because I wanted to have more +1/+1 counter opportunities that weren't reliant on sacrificing and extra graveyard manipulation. Cathars' can really take off with all of the token generation and it's really fun (Looking at Abhorrent Overlord, Ogre Slumlord, and Springjack Shepherd). I was also thinking about Grave Betrayal but it's really slow to come out.

Yeah I had Crusade in here 6-7ish years ago but the bookkeeping with all different numbers of counters on every creature was a pain in the ass so I don’t play it anymore. Glad the deck helped you!

So how well would you say the deck could preform with Magister of Worth or Restoration Gearsmith ? I have built Vish kal myself but not in a long time and my version played more like a stax-lite Golgari deck. I would stall out the early game with recursion for slow removal enchantments or creatures and just keep bringing those back turn after turn as my board grew. It was no where near the power of "degenerate" decks if that helps explain my play style.

Does teysa cause him to get double counters from saccing?

ImperatorFurioso no. She doubles triggers on death and his ability is an activated ability so nothing to double. She would double the counters from Blade of the Bloodchief though.

Would be awesome to see the combo and synergy section for this deck added. Enjoying the build, but would love to steer it a bit more focused.

SlangNTrees13 are you saying this deck seems unfocused or you just don’t know how the combos and synergies work because they’re not all written explicitly out?

FenIsABasicSwamp yes it would be easier to glance over and determine if this is a deck that fits others play styles if the combos were briefly written out. Also why isn't Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose not in here? Imagine swinging big with your commander and giving him something that makes him un-blockable. That's a game winning scenario.

jsnrice I haven’t written more on this deck’s play style and combos because I don’t care to. It’s long been my favorite deck and is far too advanced for new players and experienced players should be able to see the synergies in it. Vito isn’t in it for the same reason many cards that might be good aren’t in it: there isn’t space and I would rather play other things.

FenIsABasicSwamp I'm not a beginner I just wanted a guideline to it. Most advanced decks I play with I print a simple guide so I can recall the various win-cons and combos. I'm familiar with Vish and am building a deck on my own and am looking for some different ideas.

FenIsABasicSwampHey man, I'm trying to make a deck with a custom commander but can't figure out how to get the alter into the deck. I've made one and input the code as an alter of the original art (same printing etc.), as it says, but it always just shows the original art. Any tips?
