This is a U/R burn tempo deck, burning things while punishing them for letting me play spells. Or something. That description sounds about right to me.
Almost every noncreature spell in the deck is removal of some sort.
Galvanic Bombardment
deals with the little things turns 1-2 before scaling very well.
Fiery Temper
is often a Lightning Bolt thanks to its synergy with Tormenting Voice,
Lightning Axe
, Geier Reach Sanitarium, and Bedlam Reveler. Harnessed Lightning is a huge player in Standard right now with its ability to kill Smuggler's Copter at instant speed.
Incendiary Flow
being a sorcery hurts, but being able to hit players helps tack on extra damage.
Lightning Axe
can take down almost anything at instant speed for a low low cost. Tormenting Voice is a great way to refuel once the gas gets low. Unsubstantiate is great at making our opponent stumble, creating tempo for us.
As far as winning the game goes, we're content to sit back a bit and let incremental damage ping our opponent to death. Or smash them with a huge
Awoken Horror
. Fevered Visions is a great way for us to generate card advantage while also killing the opponent. Thermo-Alchemist gets a lot of untap triggers in the deck and is great for dealing lots of damage over time. Thing in the Ice
is an effective blocker and has the ability to swing the game in your favor once it flips. And of course
Wandering Fumarole
can attack and
Incendiary Flow
can go to the face.
Card advantage is important for a deck like this. Otherwise we can run out fast. Fevered Visions pressures the opponent while giving us more cards a turn. Tormenting Voice lets us pitch extra lands or
Fiery Temper
s to draw cards. Bedlam Reveler should be the last relevant card in our hand when we cast it, meaning not only will it be cheap but it'll effectively give us an Ancestral Recall.
Sideboard is a bit rudimentary, but I think it'll work.
Weaver of Lightning
and Unsubstantiate come in against aggro, Negate, Dispel, Bedlam Reveler, Goldnight Castigator, and Fevered Visions come in against control, and Ceremonious Rejection, Unsubstantiate, and Negate come in against combo.
