I useDruid's Deliverance along with Rootborn Defenses in my populate deck, having both is essential. If someone tries to destroy one or more of my creatures; I make them indestructible and populate instead, the same goes for combat damage; I prevent it and populate. I don't know if Druid's Deliverance will work for you in your deck but for me it works out great. All I can say is try it out and see if it helps. You can also check out my deck Population Overload to see if there is anything else in there that might also help you out. Good luck at fnm. +1

TroyG I played both of those for a while but now I'm less focused on population and aiming for a competitive selesnya aggro deck. I didn't use any of the protection last night. I think I need to just get my army built up quickly as possible. I picked up two Grove of the Guardian last night. I think I'll play test those this week. I see you had those in your deck. How'd they work?

Grove of the Guardian 8/8s with vigilance are my game winners a lot of the time, I get them on the board and populate the crap out of them with Wake the Reflections ,Druid's Deliverance ,Rootborn Defenses ,Trostani, Selesnya's Voice , whatever allows me to populate and then I attack every turn and still can use them as blockers if need be. I think you will like them as much as I do. I've also won by using Call of the Conclave . I can get 3/3 centaurs out early and quickly populate them. I had 17 of them out in a game last week and attacking with 17 3/3s will almost always win you the game.

Another Trostani, Selesnya's Voice can allow you to sustain against red so maybe one of those in sideboard

Your deck looks fine... I would suggest better play. I say this because it is my downfall most often.. like playing cyclonic rift on a creature at end step after it hit me... yea I'm stupid...
Just remember... the only life point that matters is the very last one...

Calavon thanks. I know I've made some play errors and I'm trying not to repeat those. There's so many intricacies with this deck and tips to remember. Hopefully, it will perform this week!

Good luck to us both! We both have good decks but need to play better from the sounds of it... I know I do... I make many mistakes, I have played 10 matches in 15 years... I played from Beta through Urza block, then started again a couple weeks ago... My first question coming back was, "what the hell is a planeswalker?!" LOL

Another thought might be to mainboard 1 Bow of Nylea for 1 Unflinching Courage , hard to say for certain which is more useful more quickly, maybe someone else could offer their opinion on that switch.
