Thanks for your comment SufferFromEDHD (cool name by the way). I only use old school cards in this deck, so I can't use some of these very good suggestions you have, but I'm definitely considering Dawn of the Dead.

Dooope. I'm a huge fan of deck building with restrictions. You are running some classic creatures.

Corpse Dance > Shallow Grave

Devouring Strossus is Lord of the Pit #2.

Dust Bowl? I only suggest it because I tend to run it when 50% of more of my mana base is basic.

Phyrexian Tower pays for a Volrath activation.

Skull of Ramos pays for a Volrath activation.

crucible of world not old school enough? Useful alongside that amazing Null Brooch.

Thank you for all these great suggestions :)

I have tried most of these though ;)

But I will definitely consider Corpse Dance.

I think my favorite thing about this deck is that you could build a more budget-friendly version with cards with the same nostalgic appeal. I love a deck thats good to form and this is def the format for that.

Thanks for your comment and yes, you could definitely build this on a budget by removing some of the very expensive cards here, in the beginning this was a budget build, that I just added to over the years.

I love that you run all the old versions of these great cards. I remember pulling those versions of Avatar of Woe, Mutilate, and Phyrexian Reclamation out of packs. Good times!

Indeed ldvatwa those were good times, an era past and gone - I wanted to make a deck oozing of that nostalgia and I love seeing it written on peoples faces when I play this deck :)

No worries, it's an auto-include and it would definitely be in the deck if not restricted to old borders ;)

Any deck that plays Lord of the Pit immediately activates my nostalgia neurons.
