This is my take on the Estrid Enchantment deck. Your main wincons are as follows:
-
Smash face with one creature that is ridiculously jacked up with enchantments (voltron)
-
Draw a large amount of cards based off of your high-power creature, discard all of your enchantments into your graveyard at the end of turn, and then bring them all back onto the battlefield the following turn, giving you an insane board-state with creatures having power well into the hundreds, and dominate.
Creatures to Buff
Pretty much all of them are good candidates, but these ones especially:
Cold-Eyed Selkie - lets you draw lots of cards when dealing combat damage
Eidolon of Countless Battles, Tuvasa the Sunlit and Yavimaya the Enchantress - all get +1 for each enchantment. Hero of Iroas is essentially the same thing
Graceblade Artisan and Kor Spiritdancer - get +2 for each enchantment attached
Drawing lots of cards
Hunter's Insight - draw cards equal to player damage (shouldn't be hard to bypass blockers with this deck)
Cold-Eyed Selkie - lets you draw lots of cards when dealing combat damage
Rishkar's Expertise and Soul's Majesty - draw cards equal to power of target creature (no damage required)
Returning cards from graveyard to battlefield
Estrid, the Masked - her +2 lets you untap your creatures after attacking, and her ult lets you return all enchantments
Open the Vaults - returns ALL enchantments to the battlefield (opponents too)
Retether - returns all aura enchantments from the graveyard
Cleansing Meditation - destroys all enchantments, then returns the ones you destroyed back to the battlefield (useful for switching auras to a new creature)
Bruna, Light of Alabaster - returns all auras from graveyard/hand, but only to Bruna when she attacks
Protecting Your Creatures
Because this deck depends on very large creatures to basically one-shot, that makes your creatures major targets:
Archetype of Endurance and Asceticism - gives all of your creatures hexproof
Canopy Cover and Shielding Plax - gives enchanted creature hexproof
Totem armors - Bear Umbra, Eel Umbra, Octopus Umbra, Snake Umbra, and Estrids' Masks
Bronzehide Lion - as an aura, grants indestructible
Unblockable
Here are some ways to get around blockers and guarantee a one-shot-kill:
Aqueous Form - can't be blocked plus scry 1
Arcanum Wings and Canopy Cover - gives creature flying
Infiltrator's Magemark - can't be blocked except by creatures with defender
Spirit Mantle and Unquestioned Authority - has protection from creatures
Traveler's Cloak - gives creature landwalk of a chosen type
Rogue's Passage - make a creature unblockable until end of turn
Removal
This deck has a good amount of it, most of it enchantments:
Banishing Light, Detention Sphere, and Oblivion Ring - exiles nonland permanent until enchantment leaves the battlefield
Ichthyomorphosis - makes a creature a 0/1 WITH NO ABILITIES - that's the most powerful part of this card
Runed Halo - not removal but gives you protection from a certain card, potentially saving you from a pesky wincon
Faith Unbroken - a +2 aura enchantment that also exiles a creature until it leaves the battlefield - great card
Austere Command - says it all on the card; very useful depending on the situation
Cleansing Meditation - destroys all enchantments, then you get yours back
Winds of Rath - destroys all non-enchanted creatures
Bant Charm - destroy artifact/put creature on bottom of deck/counter instant spell - great utility and removal
Utility/Tempo
Arcanum Wings - allows you to exchange it with an aura in your hand at instant speed - very useful, potentially giving you a cheaper casting cost too
Copy Enchantment and Estrid's Invocation - becomes copies of enchantments you own; could be disgusting depending on what you target, like Ancestral Mask; or, have more removal
Dawn's Reflection and Fertile Ground - land enchantments that net mana. Using Estrid's +2 ability will let you untap those lands, netting further mana
Ghostly Prison and Sphere of Safety - makes it difficult to attack you
Monastery Siege - extra card draw, or protect your permanents (especially if you're playing against a heavy removal deck)
Artisan of Forms - become a copy of ANY target creature - sometimes your own, maybe on opponents' depending on the game
Eidolon of Blossoms, Kor Spiritdancer, Tuvasa the Sunlit, and Verduran Enchantress - draw a card when you cast an enchantment
Herald of the Pantheon - enchantments cost 1 less, and you gain 1 life when you cast one
Hero of Iroas - auras cost 1 less
Sun Titan - bring back enchantments from your graveyard to the battlefield
Overall, this deck is a blast to play; there's nothing better than swinging with a creature with power over 300. I hope you guys enjoy it!
