Vigean Hydropon is an interesting card. Also Lorescale Coatl and Zameck Guildmage is a neat little combo :)

So I saw this deck and as a fellow Simic lover I decided to play test it. Within turn 9 I had an infinite turn combo with 5 lands, one of them being simic growth chamber, cloudstone curio, peregrine drake, and progenitor mimic. Oh Simic even when you aren't trying to be silly you just are.

How is Counterlash working for you?
I personally have had a lot of luck with Voidslime
June 7, 2013 4:20 p.m.
LittleBlueHero It's been decent. So far, I've had it when I had like 10 cards in my hands so I could counter anything and get something out of it. The downside is that it's a little expensive. I have a decent mana curve on the counters in the deck though. I'd probably trade out Dissipate for Voidslime .

I currently run a simic deck for standard. I was toying around with simic EDH. Love what you've done here. Vorel is the perfect commander for simic. +1 from a fellow simic lover

Might as well get a Dark Depths for the power conduit.

I know its not out yet but M14 is right around the corner. Check out, Vastwood Hydra, Primeval Bounty, Kalonian Hydra, Hunt the Weak and Witchstalker
Definitely Kalonian Hydra though...
Card images aren't up here but you can google them :)

@LittleBlueHero -- you took the words right out of my mouth. Kalonian Hydra and vorel is absolutely terrifying. Primeval Bounty could be interesting in here as well

@LittleBlueHero @Bellock86 Yea, the Vastwood Hydra and Kalonian Hydra are both going in. Also, Savage Summoning somewhere.

That card is just 10 kinds of ridiculous. Any deck with triggered abilities could most likely use it to frightening effect

Have you looked at Titan Forge ? With a little work, easy 9/9's all the time.

I run Titan Forge in my Vorel deck. Ginray72 is right on track. The 9/9 colorless creatures have become immensely helpful when facing down anything with protection.

Haha, thanks! I think you could do to make a slot for Minamo, School at Water's Edge . Just think of the counter stacking you could do...And if you're finding a creature not pulling its weight, I'd keep Sphinx of Magosi in mind. It's a card-draw engine and naturally puts counters on itself. Just a thought, it's one of my favorite cards.

Good call on those two cards as well, I can also vouch for Minamo, School at Water's Edge . I hadn't thought about Sphinx of Magosi ... I may have to try that one out in my deck.
Heck I should put my deck up here it would be beneficial to all us Vorel Brewers out there.

Have you thought about Gilder Bairn (sorry can't remember how to do links) and Experiment Kraj, Gilder Bairn allows you to double counters on Planewalkers if you were to put them in, and Illusionist Bracers or Rings of Brighthearth, and if you have Experiment Kraj out with Vorel and Gilder Bairn, you can just tap untap as much as you have the mana for

Gilder Bairn ~ Illusionist's Bracers ~ Rings of Brighthearth ~ Experiment Kraj
Just for reference purposes. To make a card "link" put a double bracket Experiment Kraj but remove the spaces between the words and the brackets but spaces between words in a card name should be left as normal.

Okay formatting error. It would be: square bracket open square bracket open name of card square bracket closed square bracket closed
