Basic control elements from both blue and green, really pleased with how it turned out, starting with cards i thought were good (but apparently not good enough) at the time. the sideboard is still iffy.
Viridian Emissary is a nice early aggressor and
Ambush Viper
is an awesome kill-spell-turned-creature, don't know if i should have a sword, considering how many creatures i have, then again, my win-cons are the fattier creatures which probably don't need swords for extra mileage
and i run
Frightful Delusion
s just for a bit of added unpredictability. playing against blue means you're up against counterspells so holding back a key card and bluffing with another big spell just to get rid of the supposed counter in hand would be a good idea... unless the counterspell in hand is
Frightful Delusion
. then again that's just one guy's opinion...
sideboard;
Autumn's Veil just protects me being countered when i play my beefy spells.
i got Torpor Orb against zombie and human decks shutting down Geralf's Messenger, Phantasmal Image, Phyrexian Metamorph, Champion of the Parish and Fiend Hunter.
similarly Phantasmal Image can take advantage of tribal abilities the same way Champion of the Parish gets more counters or Geralf's Messenger's undying affects a clone of itself
Moldgraf Monstrosity
and
Fresh Meat
against decks that kill or wipe. seeing as that's most decks its specifically for mono-black or U/B control or something that looks like it might wrath at some point.
Mental Misstep
against annoying decks that use Ponder, Gitaxian Probe and Thought Scour. the counterspell that counters a panicking player's Mana Leak before he even gets it in hand
Spellskite steals Kessig Wolf Run's target
Corrosive Gale against spirits
Counterlash
against creature-heavy decks
probably going to need a board-wipe of my own... any suggestions aside from Ratchet Bomb?
