W6 land fun (for us)!

The goal is to t2 gamble if at all possible, if not wren and six t2 into gamble t3 into any number of things, depending on how you feel about your opponent.

If you dislike them: Grab strip mine with gamble, lock them on two lands for the rest of game until you hit payoff.

If their deck is competitive: Grab life from the loam, as it doesn’t matter if you discard or not. Then start dredging your way through your library til you hit dark depths and thespian stage.

If their deck is t5 competitive: Grab crop rotation with gamble (cross your fingers) on t3, crop rotate to thespian stage on t3, and then gamble/w6 to grab dark depths t4 and copy with thespian stage to win.

If you’re in multiplayer/ need to play defensively: Grab evolution sage or constant mists to stabilize with wren and six. If you hit his ult there are numerous cards to retrace in the graveyard until you hit a source of land advantage on your opponent.

**Note for those playing this variant as land destruction

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO STABILIZE BEFORE OR QUICKLY AFTER WREN AND SIX IS IN PLAY **

There are a myriad of spells to simply set your opponents back with little to no disadvantage yourself. However, Wren and Six is the main source of this advantage, and this is important to keep alive. Making sure you can prevent combat damage is great, but so is setting your opponent back to t0, and they likely have no land recursion.

Endgame for W6 is different depending on how you want to run it. If you’re going for land destruction, something like strip mine is good to grab. If you’re trying to play the long game, you can utilize the synergy of Field of the Dead and Manabond (provided you ult w6 and can retrace manamorphose). Another cool trick with field of the dead and w6 ult is you can tectonic break to sacrifice all but two untapped lands, and then retrace a lightning bolt to nuke a world shaper, which is almost a guaranteed concession. And if you absolutely despise the people you’re playing with, you can lock everybody on t3 until nobody feels like playing anymore with t2 w6 into t3 strip mine, and slowly plussing w6 until you can begin to retrace stone rain.

In short, W6 is a great choice for if you want to have fun with lands and land triggers or absolutely spite your opponent.
