thedonuttothatguy, Assault Formation decks are viable-ish in standard right now, you won't be getting top eight, but it's fun. I think that you would want to pair Assault Formation with the Tree of Perdition combo if you tried it though.

thedonuttothatguy You're right about that. That's why I said viable-ish, it can win but not consistently. I was thinking that if you also had the Tree of Perdition + Triskaidekaphobia in there, you'd have another way to to win, giving you essentially 8 slots with card that could make you win instead of just 4. That of course, still doesn't solve getting the tree, but does make it a little better. I think I may have to get to brewing!

Also, if you want your reply to someone to show up in their notifications, you should use [user:] but with double brackets and their name after the colon. Otherwise, they'll only see it if they're subscribed to the conversation, like I am to this one.

dam you found a way to win with defense and the spirit wall gives u 10 or more life depending on target creature like if u target someone's 50 power monster that they countered up that's 50 life each turn.

my bad misread that card I guess its creatures u control so unless u can get control of that creature until end of turn then that could work like an enchantment make target creature join the battle field under yr control until enchantment gets destroyed

Since a lot your lands enter tapped, I'd suggest a little decoration for the walls Amulet of Vigor, it still fit in the theme at some point ( who doesn't hang decoration on their wall after all )

Primal Surge?

vertigo_ Primal Surge would be an interesting thing to try. The only problem it could pose would be setting me up for mill without being able to win that turn. I don't have anything that would grant haste in the deck and even if I did, my two instants may prevent me from getting to it. Those two instants would also be my only protection from mill. It'll take some testing to see.

Neat deck!I would suggest something like Hover Barrier or Wall of Frost because a flying wall and also a wall which discourages attackers.

Has this deck been played? I am really curious to see how the games went.

Just as a heads-up, Primal Surge is a may ability. Even if you do exile a permanent, you can choose not to put it into play. So, it won't mill you out as you can stop at any time, say, after half your deck is put into play.

Also with Primal Surge, there are 2 instants in the deck so as long as you havn't drawn both of them, you are going to be stopped no matter what.

Have you considerer True Conviction?
