Just in case: all they need to start are any of those 2 cards on the field. You also need Purphoros and an Eldrazi Titan either in your Library or on the field, doesn’t matter.
-
Thornbite Staff + Ashnod's Altar lets you produce infinite eggs and put all your creatures on the table. Cycling an eldrazi titan over and over kills with purphoros triggers.
-
Runed Stalactite + Ashnod's Altar lets you cycle through your deck until you find the desired creature or killed everyone with purphoros triggers.
-
Runed Stalactite + Mirror Entity also kills the table with purphoros triggers when you activate entity for 0 just often enough by holding priority.
-
Mirror Entity + Ashnod's Altar lets you cycle again through your deck similar to stalactite and altar combo while also producing infinite colorless mana that can be used to make all your creatures huge with entity. Also infinite Purphoros triggers.
-
Maskwood Nexus + any free sac outlet like Ashnod's Altar , Goblin Bombardment or Blasting Station : infinite damage with Purphoros triggers again. Also additional infinite damage on creatures with station and bombardment and infinite colorless mana with altar.

Appreciate it. Don't know if I want to add any of those cards atm, they pale in power level without a combo behind them (minus Purphoros, God of the Forge , maybe) IMO--but I do truly need to consider them/the future of this deck.

Sick deck, very unique, I’ve never seen this commander before.
Looks finely tuned so I’m having a hard time coming up with suggestions but if you want another 2 mana ramp spell and don’t mind switching to snow Basics (I like my Urza’s Saga Basics too much) there is Into the North .

Thanks Hardhitta7! Atla sure is a lot of fun.
I've been debating adding Snow Basics for a long time, they do have one more small upside in being able to give Thermopod haste so that's something. I should probably make the switch, and also add Into the North ... just need to find what to cut ;)

Nice deck for eggs! I am glad I read your notes. I almost suggested some cards and/or synergies you decided intentionally not to run or don't want to use.
Have fun breaking eggs!

MagicMarc thanks for the upvote! You are certainly in the 1% if you read any of the primer--appreciate you for taking the time.

Nice Primer! I always love some good 'ol Naya stompy action so you get an upvote from me.
I play in a meta with a lot more graveyard decks so 2-3 grave hate pieces are necessary as gravepact or a looped Plaguecrafter wreck stompy decks. Your list is tight so the only suggestion I would make is swapping Sundering Growth for Return to Nature . You only get the benefit from Growth while you're ahead meanwhile RtN can help you get out of a soft lock.

Osbert thanks for dropping an upvote and comment!
You are quite right about this list being tight--but even so I should factor in GY-ey decks as being a direct counter to my own, as you say. I think I'm going to add a Scavenger Grounds : as it doesn't require me to cut a "real" card.
Thanks for bringing that very real issue up! I'm sure I would have started playing this deck again after Covid and realized this mistake in a far more embarrassing manner than it happened here.

You had the opportunity to call your custom category "eggstra Triggers" but didn't. I feel like this is a massive oversight.

I like the version of the deck. Nice to see someone else being picky with mainly big creatures for Atla. Couple things to take a look at as options. Ramp: Have you considered running the Talismans since once you have her out all you need is the colorless? Extra eggs or triggers: One of my new favorite toys for Atla is Shields of Velis Vel , hilarious response to a board wipe. Maskwood Nexus makes all your creatures Eggs... winning. Instill Energy gives nice value for untap. Then there is Thornbite Staff to let you get every creature out with Ashnod's Altar . Last suggestion is to fix the top with Scroll Rack . Take a look at my Atla and let me know what you think, working on a write up for it in the next week or so one I can get a few moregames in with it... very different plan to win. Atla’s Enchanting Eggs

Pennieman hi! Thanks for the suggestions, let me go through one by one...
The Talismans are indeed powerful cards, but I don't need more ramp for this deck and they aren't as powerful (IMO) as the signets in 3+ color decks.
Shields of Velis Vel sure is funny, but I'd rather not have one-off effects that rely on my opponent to do something to work.
Maskwood Nexus looked exciting when it was previewed--it's just a lot of mana, and I don't want to sacrifice most of my creatures on the off chance I get a better one. Not good gameplay.
Instill Energy is just another Nature's Chosen , and I decided Chosen is better. If I find an opening I might double up and add Instill, but it's not looking likely RN.
Thornbite Staff is super-duper powerful, no question. However, I'm not running any infinite combos in this deck ATM, and I don't want to add any for the time being.
Scroll Rack always crosses my mind when I'm thinking of cards to pick up--but since it only gives me pseudo-draw I don't think it's worth having the extra synergy with Atla. In the department of stacking my deck, I'm still not sure to what power level I want to take this deck... but when I do, I'll figure out how much of that I need. And who knows? Maybe the Rack will go in then :)
I'll take a look at your build sometime today, thanks so much for taking the time to comment on mine!

Hey you all! We just hit our upvote goal of 50! I'm going to follow up on my promise and *gulp* write a breakdown as to why I chose every nonbasic card in this deck.
You can expect to see the update by tonight/tomorrow morning
Thanks for all the support, it means a lot :)

P3t310000 means everything to hear that! Just know that you might need to buy a calculator if you add Moraug, Fury of Akoum + Pathbreaker Ibex ;)

As someone that is regularly following your changes on this list (Atla Palani is one of my favourite commanders), I would appreciate a log of your changes, even if you don't have the time to develop on why you made it.
By thr way, the addition of Angel of destiny is an intereting turn to this list !

Demonarque It means the world to me that you're following along with my Atla journey (she really is great, isn't she)!
I certainly don't remember all the changes I've made to the deck since I first made it 8 months ago--but better late than never to start writing things down, eh?
Glad ya like the Angel, I wasn't sure if that was a Stroke of Genius or a Muddling of the Mixture ;)

27 cards left to add to the ""explanation for every card" category of the primer... I haven't been deckcycling Atla as much as of late because I don't really want people to see the primer in a state of construction, but it's gonna take another month-ish to finish so whatever
Thanks for the continued support everyone!

This looks super fun! I might need to mention it to my friend who plays Ghired, Conclave Exile . He's a bit of a red/green freak who isn't adverse to white, and the fun theme and broken plays might warm his Timmy heart! On the other hand, my other friend is tired of playing Kalamax, the Stormsire , and this might just be aggressive and interesting enough for him to take up next (he is looking for a new deck). If I ever build a Naya deck I might think about it as well!

Hiya Guerric! This is definitely the deck that I would choose if I could suggest one to everyone who plays the game, I can't recommend it enough!
Thanks for the +1 and kind words :3

Allllriiiighty. Finished up the Explanation section--only took me like fifteen years! But it's all done now, and even in alphabetical order (I went so long with just going in a random order... the Sunk-Cost Fallacy is quite a force to be reckoned with).
If you ever wonder why a particular card is in the deck, there should be a suitable explanation for why it works and what it does up there in the primer.
Happy May 30th y'all

One of my favorite things to do with Atla is run Mirror Entity , put 100 Triggers on the stack where X = 0.
As long as Atla has 1 counter you cheat out all the creatures in your deck, which is even more fun when you run Purphoros, God of the Forge
Omniscience_is_life says... #1
Interesting suggestion, Pikobyte. If I continue to ramp up the power-level of the deck (which is looking likely), then that's probably going to happen. Thanks for stopping by!
