An old deck I built during Eldritch Moon standard for game day. Bant Collected Company using Eldrazi Displacer as a value engine.

Lessons Learned:

• Flexible cards are not necessarily good cards (see Imprisoned in the Moon )
• 2-for-1s are important for any good midrange deck. Even pseudo-2-for-1s like Reflector Mage and Bounding Krasis are excellent cards
• You can play good decks with some sub-optimal budget choices. Generally doesn't change that it's a good deck
• The easiest way of making acquiring expensive cards less intimidating is to get them slowly, with lots of trade, and getting the most expensive pieces first
• If you're not planning on playing a deck a whole lot, it's probably not worth picking it up
• Always play to your outs (i.e. Declaration in Stone on a Rise from the Tide zombie)
• Winning feels really good
