That helps a lot, you have some good suggestions. I especially like Lightning Helix, didn't know about that card, and it is much better than Warleader's Helix in that situation.
I'm gonna go to my LGS tomorrow and get some more Akroan Hoplites, and some Lightning Helix's most likely. (They're out of Legion Loyalists :( )

Honestly? I think you should improve the consistency of this deck. Add in more good cards like Fiend Hunter , Lord of Shatterskull Pass , Minotaur Skullcleaver , Tajic, Blade of the Legion , Hopeful Eidolon , Lightning Bolt or Kragma Butcher . Get rid of the cards that aren't so good such as Children of Korlis , Disenchant , Riot Control , Ray of Dissolution , Crown of Flames , Smite , Stun or Blood Frenzy . Some good cheap cards to add could be Madcap Skills , Warleader's Helix or Student of Warfare .

Apologies for textvomit. I meant Lightning Helix instead of Warleader's Helix . Those modifications will make the deck perform much more smoothly.

I am looking into adding another Lightning Bolt , as well as a Tajic, Blade of the Legion
I have 2x Madcap Skills on the way, and already have 2x Warleader's Helix in my deck, but will most likely replace them for Lightning Helix 's.
May I ask why you don't think Crown of Flames is good? Or Riot Control ? Riot Control is the best damage blocker I have right now, can you recommend any others?
Also I am keeping Crown of Flames for now because I could theoretically give it +12/+0 in one turn with it to a creature.
May 24, 2014 9:55 p.m.
Riot Control is just a stopping of your opponent's attack on you. It doesn't help you out and on turn 4-7 (which is when you usually play it) it keeps you from making the plays you would like to, such as your Tajic, Blade of the Legion or Torchling . Crown of Flames makes you invest mana into your creature without a fantastic bonus. Why would you pay RRR to let your creature deal 3 more damage when you could pay R and have Lightning Bolt do the same? If you want to keep that in, replace it with Dragon Mantle which at least replaces the card.

Yeah that's the flaw of the card, and I see that, but I have no other cards that will block damage. Or should I not even worry about that and just worry about killing them w/ aggro side as fast as I can?

Oh, also, you might want to use something like Hammer of Purphoros to get haste on everything, also it gets rid of excess land.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've made a mock of what I think I should do with my deck, here
If anyone has any suggestions I'm still open, thanks for the help

Keep doing research, I see where you want to take this deck. But it's a standard deck at them moment. And will even got torn up in a standard tournament at the moment. Check out MtGtop8.com

Cococrispy, thanks for the suggestions! I'll look for those at my LGS :)
Eklamor, this deck is modern currently, not standard. I know it will get beat at tournaments, I'm still working on it, I want to make it the best I can =]. I've seen that website, I'm checking it out now, thank you.

You might want to clear the comments, seeing as most of them are no longer relevant with the deck's new form.

Ever thought of Niveous Wisps ? It's kind of like Glmipse, but draws you a card--only on one creature, but only one mana...
If you've got fetchlands they'll help thin the deck and get it running a bit smoother, but if not--or both even sometimes--Gitaxian Probe ?
Magma Jet is a great card. Not as strong as some others, but the scry is really good for deck setting. Maybe see what critters float about in your meta.
More one drops like Vexing Devil and cards like Proclamation of Rebirth ? Maybe Immortal Servitude ? It's mean to bring the devils back and I notice you have lots of one drops, just a thought!
I'm not the biggest fan of Madcap, maybe more burn/removal would help you finish them off?
Anyways, looks good! Best of luck!

Hey Emask, thanks for the suggestions. I'm still relatively new to Magic, so on the subject of Niveous Wisps , what's the advantage of turning something white for the turn? Other then that though I'm still not sure if I should add that in for Glimpse instead, as to make it useful I may have to add 4 of them, but with glimpse I could add less but tap more per turn.
Proclamation of Rebirth would be good for my deck if it wasn't just 1 drops it returned (it would be especially good against my friends mill deck), as most of my creatures are 2-3 mana.
I had two Magma Jet 's before, but I removed them for more lightning bolts. As to the other cards, I'm not really feeling them, but thanks for the suggestions, I'm always curious as to what people think I should improve upon :)

try Brute Force
over Martial Glory
Cerodon Yearling
over Viashino Firstblade
maybe?
Bloodmark Mentor
makes good blockers
and yeah, Boros Charm
is nice, especially if you're worried about saving your Madcap Skills
from a 2-for-1 (or a wrath)
looks solid so far!

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm gonna get two more Titan's Strength 's to replace the Martial Glory 's with.
I'm thinking of putting 4 of a creature to replace my 2x Tajic, Blade of the Legion 's and 2x Akroan Hoplite 's. Maybe Spark Elemental ? What do you think? I want everything to have haste. Low CMC Haste Creatures plus my Satyr Firedancer 's + Lightning Bolt / Lava Spike should be a deadly combo (hopefully).

it just depends which direction you want to go -- the to-the-point wizard would take Vexing Devil
or Goblin Guide
,
a battlefield strategist might prefer Figure of Destiny
or Gideon's Lawkeeper

Hmm. Those are all pretty good cards, especially Vexing Devil , but I feel like I should have all my creatures have haste. That's why I am leaning more towards Spark Elemental

you may be right, it's a nice target for titan's strength. have you considered Spark Trooper ? -- to fill the 4cmc slot in a similar manner.. if you can cast it consistently :p

you've got the same idea; these guys just use bigger cards. battalion might do ya for efficient card costs - Daring Skyjek Boros Elite Wojek Halberdiers maybe even a Firemane Avenger

So, from what I understand, you're trying to go aggro with the lifegain from white?
Yes, you should add Legion Loyalist . It's fast, and it can stay relevant late game as well by giving you trample and first strike. Add 4 if you can. Personally, I don't think Viashino Firstblade is that good. I would replace him with something like Boros Reckoner if possible, and if not, run up the number of Akroan Hoplite , which has won me quite a few games with my Boros deck. I wouldn't suggest Pitchburn Devils , because at the end of the day, he's a 3/3 for 5, and that's not worth it. Add something with a lower CMC (Vexing Devil would be ideal, but that's not really cheap at all, so other options include Boros Elite , Dryad Militant , Rakdos Cackler , etc.). Replace Warleader's Helix with Lightning Helix /Balefire Liege /Brightflame /Firemane Avenger /Fiendslayer Paladin /any number of other cards that have similar effects. In general, you'll want to find cards that work well in your deck and use multiple copies of them. For example, Tajic, Blade of the Legion is good for this deck. Use more of him. Akroan Hoplite is good. Use more. If you want lifegain, Nyx-Fleece Ram is good. Use more. You can use up to four copies of a card in your deck, and if you look at high-level decks, you'll see that they use the full four very often, probably because those cards are very important to their deck and they want have the best chance possible of drawing them.
Hope this helped!
