You could remove Contested Warzone, put in some Godless Shrine, or Isolated Chapel, and then put in Intangible Virtue
Contested warzone could backfire.

Topher85 and Wiktul the problem is that you can't win without Zombie Infestation and if you hit these other cards of off treasure hunt you can't win unless you somehow got a 2 Treasure Hunt starting hand.

I am actually Gaping right now at this deck. Man. I literally have all the pieces to this. It is a shame you couldn't run 27x Breeding Pool and 27x Overgrown Tomb for the hilarity that is Lost in the Woods. And that there isn't some strong way of cheating out Borborygmos Enraged.
But honestly, even if those things were possible, that might not be as good as this anyway.
Man, Lightning Storm would also be pretty hilarious in here. Just feed it to a lethal amount, they respond to gain control of it, and you wrestle it back and forth but inevitably you gain control of it because you should have significantly more lands in hand than they. Also, why is zombie infestation a 2 of? Any reason?
Seismic Assault. Shame it is .

Forgive me for double posting, but might making this Izzet for Lightning Storm possibly be better, actually? T1 Mountain, T2 Island, T3 Treasure hunt, hopefully hit a Reliquary Tower, play it, T4 Mountain, then either treasure hunt again or lighting storm and win that turn rather than next? Not to insult this absolutely beautiful deck.
August 5, 2015 2:39 a.m.
AngelOfDivinity: Yeah those are two alterations to make to the deck. The thing is that I find zombies the funniest. The reason for two is so you don't have to take the etra chance off "going off" from having to go through all the hunts. The second one just gives you some more consistancy which I like. Thanks for commenting and the cool ideas, i will try them and see if makes it cooler with fire.

Here's what I came up with based on this:
You are mathematically incapable of no-land-hands. Playtest
Modern
SCORE: 0 | 0 COMMENTS | 15 VIEWS
And don't worry, I not only gave this deck credit I also put a link to it in the description.
I only run 1 Lightning Storm because then with my first hunt I have a 50% chance of seeing a reliquary tower and those odds go up with each consecutive hunt.
I also threw in three shivan reef purely because I already have three.
August 5, 2015 3:13 p.m.
AngelOfDivinity: Sweet. I guess it is just personal preference on how many Zombie Infestations or Lightning Storm you want to run. One thing to Keep in mind is that with only one copy then you are screwed if it gets countered. I mean if the first one gets countered you are probably screwed anyways but you will at least have a chance to win.

Yeah, technically. But you will then need to top deck into another non land card, which is pretty unlikely. I prefer my way since it increases the odds of seeing a reliquary tower. I also prefer lightning storm because it is just as counterable as zombie infestation, but my opponent can't board wipe tokens because I don't have any. And they both should usually win turn 5- in your deck I imagine you usually get out an infestation turn four and then swing turn five, where as I usually get a storm into hand turn four and cast it turn five.

Maybe Temple of Deceit and/or Halimar Depths to help sift thru your deck faster and find a Treasure Hunt? But maybe coming in tapped is too big a drawback, I dunno.
August 7, 2015 12:11 p.m.
Angry_Potatoes: it is a good suggestion but I don't think it will work or do much in the way that you don't keep a hand without Treasure Hunt so it does really do much to have the scry or dig three

As an aside, I realized another great boon of this deck is that you can mulligan to one repeatedly (since you can't mulligan below one in the game) because the odds of you hitting a land on your second draw are radically in your favor.
August 7, 2015 12:30 p.m.
AngelOfDivinity you can repeatedly mulligan to one in one game?

Empty the Pits could be useful here, if you don't have Reliquary Tower your graveyard will get quite full or if someone somehow clears out the zombies the first time you can just make a whole wave of new ones with the same cards you just discarded.

Empty the pits actually sounds hilarious, but not in addition since you should only hit one non-land non-treasure hunt card per game.
And I am actually not sure, we should ask a judge or look it up in the handbook. But I think that if there is one card in your opening hand and you mulligan you always go back to one indefinitely.
My reasoning for thinking this is because both Tappedout and the MTG apps put out by WotC have that function if you mulligan seven or more times.

This looks like a lot of fun. Awesome Idea and deck name lol
August 10, 2015 11:26 a.m.
AngelOfDivinity, sadly, that's not true:
103.4. Each player draws a number of cards equal to his or her starting hand size, which is normally seven. (Some effects can modify a players starting hand size.) A player who is dissatisfied with his or her initial hand may take a mulligan. First, the starting player declares whether or not he or she will take a mulligan. Then each other player in turn order does the same. Once each player has made a declaration, all players who decided to take mulligans do so at the same time. To take a mulligan, a player shuffles his or her hand back into his or her library, then draws a new hand of one fewer cards than he or she had before. If a player kept his or her hand of cards, those cards become the players opening hand, and that player may not take any further mulligans. This process is then repeated until no player takes a mulligan. (Note that if a players hand size reaches zero cards, that player must keep that hand.)

Sweet deck! Maybe for the sideboard all lands and a Laboratory Maniac? Draw out your deck by chaining Treasure Hunt and then win when you try to draw from an empty library?
August 12, 2015 1:01 p.m.
jasonkrivera says... #20
Oh, and a Shielding Plax so you can protect the Maniac, or win on your turn still if you've built up to six mana. Side out the two Zombie Infestation once they side in their enchantment hate and side out their creature hate.
August 12, 2015 1:08 p.m.
jasonkrivera A cool idea but I like just playing it as it is. I don't think a sideboard plan will work that well but I will definatley try it.

most people run lightning hunt and boseijus as sideboard options, lightning hunt is the same thing it just replaces zombie infestation with lightning storm.
August 13, 2015 9:52 p.m.
rainbowofdeath: If you look at the erased comments from before my latest update a guy was doing that. I think the two decks are the same with a very small change that is personnal preference.
