You need Sunbond . It fits the theme well, and is the pic.

@MariosAmj, oddly enough, I've never witnessed anyone include Merciless Eviction in their deck.

Yay!!! Congrats on over 100 +1s. I love the deck although I might recommend 2x Extinguish All Hope in the sideboard

Maybe run Hero of Iroas to make the enchantments cheaper? I believe it also works for your creatures? (May need confirmation on that) If so you can run cheap enchantments and cheap creatures as well as adding another win condition - A massive Hero attack. Even with lifelink and flying alone he is brutal.

I like the deck +1 from me, have you considered Eidolon of Countless Battles I've seen it inother similar decks and just gets out of hand really fast

Just a note, this does not work well if you go the extreme budget version. without those key rares, its kind of hard to gain ground

Dremi, I think I'll have to disaggree with you on that point.. I have a budget version of a deck very similar to this one, and it works quite well. My deck is Orzhov Enchantment. It's still not finished though, and any feedback is appreciated :)

+1 For what I think is a good deck. It was fun to playtest against my decks, which I played a few times each. Battle with Mogis Devotion:

It looked like Mogis was too powerful the first game against this deck, however, in the late part of the match, this deck outlasted Mogis. The second match was much of the same, however the game winner was Erebos, as he appeared and quickly became 10/12, 11/13 with flying and lifelink shortly after.

Now, it was time for a deck change Dark Devotion Drain was now against this deck. On turn 3 and 4, two of my Master of the Feast were now exiled, however their allies were strong enough to take down their foes and pull out with a close win.The second game was quite different. With two Thoughtseize played within the first 4 turns, recovery was not possible for this deck, even with Brain Maggot coming out twice.

Even though rotation is not until October, have you looked at cards that can become replacements? This deck has the core of it locked down, which will help post rotation.

Just one thing... I noticed in one of your updates that you mentioned a misplay by not playing a Whip of Erebos ability to return a creature as a blocker. You can never do that. The whip's activated ability can only be activated as a sorcery (meaning on your turn and during your main phases only). Since the creature is exiled at the end of that turn, there is no way you could get a blocker with it :) So there was no misplay there, there was nothing you could've done about it.

Tilwin What makes you think that Whip can only be used at sorcery speed?

This looks nasty to play against. Great build, well done!

Is Blood Baron of Vizkopa in consideration at all here?

Hello, i did as you requested and went head to head in 3 matchups with my own constellation brew. i was able to take all 3 games and i attribute it to having cards like Detention Sphere where i found i take a target from your deck that has an enchantment (a 2 or more for 1) or in one match 2 Herald of Torment . i just think that i have alot of cards that give me card advantage in a longer game.

One thing i noticed is you have alot of Gods, which doesn't give you immediate board presence. They are great when you are able to fill the board, but i noticed my removal was able to deal with your devotion and keep them enchantments for a large portion of the games.

So in one game you had many aura's but no targets to put them on since your gods were only enchantments. So i think you should pick a god and run 1 or 2. i think i would prefer Erebos as your choice. Your 2 drop on creatures is clogged up, i think that especially if you acquire Thoughtsieze you should just cut the Brain Maggot . i would probably run more Ram than Coinsmith because you do have ways to eventually make the Ram an attacker and it provides way better defense. i do like Underworld Coinsmith alot, lots of people haven't come around on this guy, but he's closed out lots of games for me with his life drain at FNM's. Another card you have that nobody is using is Doomwake Giant , this card is amazing and i board wipe often and it softens up defenses as well. Play 2 enchantments when a Doomwake is out, your Coinsmith attacks, your opponent forgetfully blocks with his Courser of Kruphix you've killed it...

Anyways i think you should also add another Underworld Connections , seems like having 4 or more cards to draw you more cards (Erebos) is something your deck would like to have. i'm not sure i'm a fan of Whip of Erebos in this deck, but if you up your count of Obzedat, Ghost Council then i suppose it makes sense to keep it. But i'm not sure if that's the route to go...

Well i could go on but it wouldn't really be about suggesting "other" cards because i think your choices you've already selected are really good. But you do have a sprinkle of this card, and a dash of another card, and it seems to be pulling away from your deck being as focused and efficient as it could be. As i do in most all my brews, and what i've found to be especially true in my constellation build, is tinkering around with the numbers. i just changed my own deck by 6 cards a few weeks back haha. i wish i had been able to settle on some of these choices sooner to have played a finer tuned deck earlier, but that's just part of the process of building your own. And so i tinker on...

Good luck! Cheers!

A12m994, I really need your help! I don't have a computer at the moment so I can't effectively have two Windows open side by side. I'm interested in how my deck would fair against yours. Here it is: Nissa's Monster Mash

I wonder how well this deck will do with the upcoming block.

August 31, 2014 11:09 p.m.

This deck looks rad, not gonna lie, but I don't think you should be running those whips of erebos...they do nothing for Obzedat, Ghost Council as far as I can tell. Obzedat only comes into play from exile, if you used its ability to exile it. Technically speaking, after you use Whip of Erebos on obzedat, it goes into exile because of whip of erebos, and thus obzedats ability is not triggered

ameliorate_the_masses Whip of Erebos will permanently bring Obzedat, Ghost Council back. Here's the printed ruling for Whip of Erebos:

"If a creature returned to the battlefield with Whip of Erebos would leave the battlefield for any reason, its exiled instead. However, if that creature is already being exiled, then the replacement effect wont apply. If the spell or ability that exiles it later returns it to the battlefield (as Chained to the Rocks might, for example), the creature card will return to the battlefield as a new object with no relation to its previous existence. The effects from Whip of Erebos will no longer apply to it."
