As fun as it is to call troll with cavern, it is pretty useless in the deck as it only pays for colorless, I know it doesn't seem like much but it can be a pain. I really like the interaction between liliana, bolas, and the Aid though, that seems fun. Memory adept may be better for a sideboard and Garruk primal hunter would be a better 5 drop for the sheer ability to create blockers and draw cards. The mill is good it just isn't good with two jaces and having to choose between them

Unfortunately, aggro decks like Naya Blitz, RDW, or Jund Aggro will destroy you before you stabilize. As much as I hate this card, you need Thragtusk to survive, as well as early removal- Mizzium Mortars , Pillar of Flame , and Searing Spear , besides the Abrupt Decay and Putrefy . Obzedat's Aid is pointless unless you cheat them out- using it for when they die, maybe you run it as a 1 or 2 of, not as a 4 of- if you want to fill your graveyard with planeswalkers by self mill, it would make more sense.

If I'm not mistaken, thattitle is a Halo reference. even if it isn't this deck is pretty nice in my opinion. +1 from me.

@pumpkinsword

in my limited experience playing this deck. i find that against aggro it does fairly well aslong i dont get color screwd. i got 6 early kills spells those Abrupt Decay and Putrefy you name as well as 7 fieldwipes in the form of Supreme Verdict and Terminus . but if it keeps being an issue i also have Crypt Incursion in the side 3life for each creature ive already killed. other opsion would also be Heroes' Reunion reason for this would be it easyer to recast thx to Mystic Retrieval

i dont think Obzedat's Aid is useless. up till now it served me well alowing my walkers and Assemble the Legion to be cast from my grave. during testplays on cocatrice(use it since i lack some of the cards mentiond) i have even bin capable of discarding bolas(with lili) on turn 5 and getting him into play with Obzedat's Aid

@Carpediem

issnt a holo reference atleast not that im aware of never played those serie of games. but its simply named after the intention of this deck.

having immortal planeswalkers.

what you killed him... well hes back now. /sigh stop trying to kill him he doesnt die...hes back again. even in the case of bolas have him take over a creature then destroy something then ult and he dies takes practically there entire field and then you reveve him.

I had a long comment full of suggestions, but it seems the internet didn't want me to post it (internet cut out as I hit the preview button) to summarize add 1-2 land, move reunion to the sideboard in favor of something else.

Nice deck, I like it. Your colors look a little shaky though. Would you consider replacing Garruk, Primal Hunter with Garruk Relentless  Flip ? He makes 2/2's instead of 3/3's, but he costs one less and G instead of GGG.

Doom Blade is standard now, unless your meta is black heavy you might want to think about replacing Putrefy with it. It's cheaper and less color intensive.

I would do 4x Terminus and 3x Supreme Verdict . You don't have much card draw, so you won't whiff on the miracle as much. The only card draw you have here is Sphinx's Revelation , and you almost always want to cast it for large values of X. If you cast it for X = 2 and happen to draw a terminus you can still cast it on the next turn. Terminus also gets around regeneration and indestructible, while being less color intensive than verdict.

+1 for using Obzedat's Aid . I've been wanting to make a deck like this XD

if i realy lucky i can get out a t4 bolas.

t1 Temple Garden

t2 Woodland Cemetery + farseek>Watery Grave

t3 land +Liliana of the Veil use her +1 to get bolas in grave now or next turn.

t4 land +Obzedat's Aid >Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker

right forgot to comment on Krayhaft

its true Garruk Relentless  Flip is cheaper but for the aditional G i get 3/3 tokens, card draw and and ult that wins(it happens from time to time)

regarding Doom Blade hmmm...im just not sure about it. since i dont enter alot of FNMs the meta changes alot for me but each time i playtest Doom Blade i got stuck against black stuff like Olivia Voldaren atm bit to much black creature threats but its on pick if this deck doesnt die out on rotation(it loses alot of cards atm) Putrefy is also used against regenrating creatures.

sad to say i dont own a 4th Terminus only got these 3 otherwise i would try to fit in a 4th. its true Supreme Verdict is more color intense requiring WWU but its not harder to cast. i can actually get it ver consistendly of with some help of Farseek

Dude, if I ever saw this deck sitting across from me at FNM I might just cry. This is so super-friendly and nuts. love it, totally. plus 17. Plus 1 for sure.

I would suggest adding some Forbidden Alchemy s if you plan on aiming for a reanimation route, a single liliana isn't enough to make Obzedat's Aid a reliable card, alchemy would also make Mystic Retrieval better overall.

Also you may find Purify the Grave to be a better graveyard hate spell for your sideboard as it'll still stop reanimator from getting a guy back (just cast it in response to the rites) and if you go with my other suggestion it can be yet another free spell sitting in your graveyard after you alchemy.

-1 Obzedat's Aid -1 Mystic Retrieval to move the curse to the MB, BW humans is just really popular right now

atm trying out -1 Obzedat's Aid +1 Curse of Death's Hold keeping the other curse in my side for now. if i feel the need to play the 2nd main aswell ill reconsider removing retrieval but atm dont want to lose it since it very helpful even in game 2 getting back Slaughter Games

I got owned hard by a deck very similar to this last FNM. Jace's freakin -1/-0 ability owned my Lingering Souls . My only suggestion would be Augur of Bolas , but I like how you have zero creatures. +1

Your deck can be pretty slow to pick up being that it is a 5 color deck. Mystic Retrieval can be useful for bringing back Obzedat's Aid and other bombs, but it usually endud up being a dead card for me. All of your targeted removal has black in it, which will cause Fiendslayer Paladin to be a huge pain for you. When I playtested against my deck, I was swinging huge with a 10/10 trample Fiendslayer Paladin and had no way to stop him other than chump blocking with 3/3 beasts from garruk.

Cyclonic Rift would be great because you can use it early game to deal with an aggro threat, or late game to clear your opponent's field.

As for Assemble the Legion , take it out and throw in something to lower your curve. Mulch might help for that graveyard power and getting land colors you need. I would say drop red entirely, but Nicol is pretty awesome.

I like the deck, but I thought I should point out that Obzedat's Aid can only target cards in your own graveyard (given that you apparently did that against an opponent, according to the description).

Oh, wait, nevermind. Sorry, I just realized you were saying that you revived Liliana of the Veil with Obzedat's Aid .
