Very nice deck-list. I play a similar one, although Obelisk of Urd does indeed work for me, I'm playing a Mardu variant of this archtype.

If you could check mine out with any advice or just to check it out, let me know!

Also, off-topic:

Did you hardcode the HTML in your post to build those sliding divs or is there special formatting that's not documented?

Thanks!

I like it!

I'm curious why you're running Bile Blight mainboard though. It's handy against goblins and in the mirror match, but I haven't found it relevant otherwise. How's Thoughtseize working out? I'm guessing pretty well if you've got two sideboard as well.

Have you explored Arashin Foremost? It's an all-star in my own B/W warriors. It lets you get in there for some crazy haymakers and tears blockers apart. The only downside is the double .

Bile Blight can hit a lot of things, from Elvish Mystics to Deathmist Raptors and more. Maybe the metagame has shifted away from this card being a necessity, however - I played last night and it was a dead card occasionally.

Thoughtseize is pretty great in general, but as an aggro deck the information and ability to tempo them out by taking out their best play is even better.

Arashin Foremost has been a 4-of in this deck for quite a while

True, I consider Bile Blight a sideboard card in most matchups; but if green ramp decks are all over the place it certainly has its appeal as a way to get rid of those pesky mana dorks. Doesn't hit Sylvan Caryatid but I haven't issues with those; they're basically speedbumps if anyone even blocks with them.

I might try running Thoughtseize myself, the recon is actually relevant. I can think of a few times it would have helped.

And yeah, missed the Arashin Foremost in the list somehow. Was just tired I guess.

So I just went 7-2-1 at NJ regionals, getting 4th overall place with this deck. It was amazing

I would agree on side boarding the bile blights and main boarding dismember.

On and +1 because warriors are boss.

Not sure what you mean by dismember since that card's not in standard, but at the regionals I actually wished I had a fourth bile blight in my sideboard. It's an excellent card against Jeskai, great against monored, great against Abzan constellation - all somewhat difficult matchups for this deck.

My fault, I wasn't thinking of standard when I posted this, lol.

I wasn't worried, I was nervous

And I had good reason to be nervous, it was my first like actual shot at being high up on a competitive setting. Thanks for sticking around btw!

this deck is pretty awesome how does it fair against a burn deck. good work at getting 4th in regional's btw

August 11, 2015 11:29 p.m.

Goody says... #14

Burn decks can be tough because of the manabase pain, but the deck has a lot of incidental lifegain and it races very well if they don't remove our creatures. Even if they do, longer games can be turned around with Secure the Wastes and Sorin, Solemn Visitor. Basically, whoever wins the die roll is the favorite to win since they get to be on the play twice

I've noticed that with burn/RDW. To me it feels like the most difficult matchup by far and I still haven't managed to beat it even on the play, unless the opponent makes a big misplay.

Good on you for sticking with this; when I lost Thoughtseize, Hero's Downfall, Mana Confluence, Ajani's Presence, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and realized how much colorless stuff is in the set I scrapped my W/B warriors.

Interested to hear how this goes.

Aggro could still be pretty good, I think the biggest issue will be the mana with this deck

Even though she isn't a Warrior, I feel Drana would make a great replacement for Seeker of the way, as it'll give your creatures +1/+1 every time she does damage

I'll try one Drana in the mainboard

I had a thought for a warriors brew that might also help smooth the mana base.

Take a look at this grixis aggro deck on mtggoldfish.

It's a mainly r/b deck with a very light splash of blue, to give extra reach through Treasure Cruise (the only blue card in the deck).

Since blue is the shared ally color between w/b, switching to an esper shard gives you access to 8 fetches, each of which can potentially fetch out W or B. I would take out the Shambling Vent for it, as that card slows down your deck. You also have enough incidental lifegain to mitigate the lifeloss from fetching.

An esper shard would also give you some neat SB and MB options. You get Treasure Cruise, with little commitment to blue, giving your deck extra reach. I would even play around with Ojutai's Command as a SB tool vs midrangey decks.

Treasure Cruise fulfills the same space as Collected Company, which I playtested with the abzan warriors deck I showed you a few weeks back. But shard mana is much more stable than wedge mana now.

Trying to figure out what's better main, Grasp of Darkness vs Valorous Stance vs Silkwrap vs Stasis Snare.

Also tweaking the sideboard

Should the sideboard Disdainful Strokes just be Negates instead?

February 3, 2016 1:18 a.m.

Looks good. Can it outrun Mardu Swarn Enchantments, (don't ask, just look)? If so, you're all good, because that one can beat Modern Grixis Control and Blue Tron consistently. Not sure what to suggest... maybe splash red for some powerful synergy, instead of blue for countermeasures? :/
