An attempt at adapting my W/B (Orzhov) Warrior deck (Oppressive Blood-Chin Warriors of Orzhov..) from Standard to the Modern format..

General "core" of Orzhov Warrior Tribal Show

The most of this deck was literally printed during the Kahns of Tarkir - Origins block, but two cards in particular (from Dragons of Karkir) that really sparked some serious thought about this deck: Blood-Chin Rager & Arashin Foremost. Match those two together with a (the already printed in KTK) standard Tribal Lord: Chief of the Edge, and you got yourself a deck started! :P

In the original (THS - DTK) build, I used Thoughtseize & -removal for for interaction/disruption, and Artifact Anthems (Spear of Heliod & Obelisk of Urd) to boost my Warrior Weenies..

Stepping into the Modern format grants access to Obsidian Battle-Axe; a low-ish CMC Aggro deck's dream. The Modern format also has an old trick of Mono-Black Control; Gatekeeper of Malakir.

All-in-all the effect is a synergistic Aggro deck, somewhat similar to Merfolk and/or Slivers..

Friend Meta Show

Although being a "competitive" deck is a thing, keep in mind that I want to have a mean Tribal deck that could stomp my friends' Tribal decks (Goblins, Slivers, & B/R Vampires mostly).. So, balance is key..

Mardu Woe-Reaper: Enables a tiny amount of lifegain that also doubles as mainboard graveyard-hate..

Vampire Lacerator: Has an annoying drawback, but sometimes the 2-toughness is relevant..

Chief of the Edge: Classic Tribal Lord. Dangerous in multiples..

Blood-Chin Rager: An unusual Lord that (effectively) grants Menace upon attacking. Great for pushing damage through, plus, anything that makes combat more complicated for our opponent is always a positive..

Obsidian Battle-Axe: The ridiculous Tribal Artifact that makes everything else just that much more explosive..

Gatekeeper of Malakir: A Cruel Edict with legs. A staple of old-school Mono-Black Control made even more annoying via Tribal shenanigans..

Arashin Foremost: Incredibly OP Lord of Double Strike. Loves Battle-Axes..

Blood-Chin Fanatic: Additional Long-range reach..

Graveblade Marauder: An intimidating ground blocker, that is also a surprise Wincon, and on a body that's outside of Lightning Bolt-range.. I'll take two, please..

Basilisk Collar: Enables extra Mid- to Late-game punch & sustainability..

Apostle's Blessing: The flexible, pseudo- 1-drop protection spell from colors OR artifacts. So (in effect) a single colorless mana can protect a important creature, or equipment, from a kill spell, burn, or even stuff like Vedalken Shackles..

Blind Obedience: Mainboard hate for turning the tempo down on, if not breaking, a wide variety of decks, while Extort adds an angle of attrition..
