I actually like this brew, despite the fact that I can't stand the hype that Waste Not is getting. I played against Chasm Stalker at the prerelease, and it is absolutely bonkers how good it is. Might want to consider adding some temples because this deck is essentially a combo deck, so finding your pieces is essential to making the deck work.

Yes, Waste Not is getting to much hype. I would like it to get less hype. Then the price would fall :D (It's freaking 6 dollars right now! :D)

Thanks for the +1! ;D

Temples are added. They can really do a lot with all the draw!

Any other suggestions?

+1 because I like discard decks!

Sideboard could include

2x Pithing Needle

2x Kiora's Dismissal The idea with this one is to get around Detention Sphere and Banishing Light s.

2x AetherSpouts aggro decks hate this :D

2x AetherSpouts instead of Drown in Sorrow 3x Kiora's Dismissal instead of Read the Bones

So.... Is this better? :D

Don't push the dismissal so hard :p

Drown in sorrow is great, but it does not hit annoying creatures. Spot removal like Hero's Downfall is pivotal when you have a hand full of discard :p

Tormented Thoughts can help vs kiora's +, or vs something with lots of chump blockers. Let the Chasm Skulker get big then get all the squids to stop the chumping from happening. Trigger discard for waste not

I would take out 3 Ordeal of Erebos . It's bad because it allows your opponent to gain card advantage from killing your creature as well as denying you full use of the card. Replace it with Hero's Downfall because you really need some removal

Well, I thought that the Ordeals where good on the Chasm Skulker . If it has +2 counters, it will be activated the turn it's played :D Isn't that good, or is it still to risky?

Tormented Thoughts could be a really good SB card! :D But what to remove?

Master of the Feast is really nice in these decks, as it is a hard hitter for three mana and its ability goves them cards on your turn, allowing you to discard them before they are played.

The_Raven says... #11

Demigoron but dude! What to remove? Duress? Should I play 3 or 4? :D

Karimzamrini HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I laughed so much at this! My reaction was the exact same when I saw Caligula's name! ;D

Demigoron says... #12

I'd take out Death's Approach because it's cycling anyway, but if you want to keep it take out a Duress and a Dictate of Kruphix or two.

NorthernRaven It's not so bad in the web browser, But damn talk about a name drop in the mobile browser :P

Yeah I'm on my galaxy and it literally spills off of the page. I can't see your while name. It makes me chuckle but I can't mention you because I can't see your whole name...

Karimzamrini and Caligula:

How is my name now? :D

July 21, 2014 4:44 p.m.

The_Raven says... #16

Demigoron, but, then I will not have any creature destroy! :O

I actually thinks that 4 Dictate of Kruphix is too much! I only need 3 Thoughtseize .... Or else I will loose too much life! :P

So -1 Thoughtseize , -1 Dictate of Kruphix and -1 Death's Approach ?

July 21, 2014 4:48 p.m.

Demigoron says... #17

That's a good plan. With chasm skulker and plenty of control, you shouldn't need too much creature removal. Plus Master of the Feast is an effective creature by itself.

Karimzamrini says... #18

Have you thought about Notion Thief ? One cool interaction is that if you play Master of the Feast you can flash in Notion Thief after you untap the next turn but before your upkeep so you get the cards haha

Pack Rat Seems like it could put all of that BB mana from discarded land to good use and I would run some number of Devour Flesh to mess with your opponents creatures or to sac a countered up Chasm Skulker in response to exiling effects like Banishing Light + Detention Sphere .

Fun looking deck though.

Looking for some input on this list for fnm this week, let me know what you think.

I like it.

Would Tasigur, the Golden Fang be something to consider? Solid creature stats, delve and a pretty good card draw mechanism (assuming you dont have Dakra mystic in your GY).

Potentional turn 3 aswell, Waste not>Dark deal> Opponent discards a land, play Tasigur for the cost of 3 exiled cards.

I'm thinking about making a very similar build to this, but more controlish. Empty the Pits i feel would fit really well. You could do Thoughtseize ---> Waste Not ---> Dark Deal ---> Empty the Pits with the mana being available.
