I really wanted to use Thassa and Purphoros for a red and blue devotion deck with Master of Waves to deal some big damage with the incoming elemental tokens. I've cut out the Purphoros due to consistency reasons.If there's any way to make Purphoros work, I'm glad to hear how . For the playable devotion enablers I have a few options.Not sure if I want to replace Nivmagus with Judge's familiar, since the familiar flies and is a little bit more versatile. Any suggestions are very welcome.

Tidebinder Mage goes to the mainboard — Oct. 12, 2013

During the previous FNM,I came to the conclusion that red and green were heavily played, which is why I decided to put Tidebinder Mage in the mainboard. Also, my Cloudfin Raptor's had a difficult time evolving, as my first hands contained nothing but him and some gods from time to time. I managed to get a second copy of Jace, Architect of Thought, his substitute Jace, Memory Adept failed me quite a bit.

The Purphoros, God of the Forge + Master of Waves combo was pulled of greatly. Due to a devotion of 14 for blue and controlling a mountain, I managed to break out of a board stall.

I tapped a mountain for red and 2 other lands to use Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx's ability. I played Purphoros, followed up by the Master of waves, resulting in a whooping 32 damage.
