Looking at a legacy brew with good stuff in my favorite colors. Something grindy and mid-rangy that plays fair while being able to interact with unfair decks effectively.
The deck generates a ton of card advantage with Dark Confidant. Chandra, Pyromaster , and Stoneforge Mystic. In fact, Chandra, Pyromaster acts like Jace, the Mind Sculptor in this build, essentially drawing an extra card every turn.
The deck packs plenty of disruption with Inquisition of Kozilek and Thoughtseize, hopefully spoiling the early game of unfair combo decks.
Access to red allows us to play Lightning Bolt, and Chandra, Pyromaster . Out of the board we also get access Pyroblast and Red Elemental Blast allowing us to ruin many a Brainstorm and outright kill opposing Jace, the Mind Sculptors.
The creature base is tight, adding Mother of Runes to protect our Dark Confidants and Stoneforge Mystics. Mother also allows us to punch through big swings with Batterskull and spirits equipped with Umezawa's Jitte
. A removal suite of Swords to Plowshares, Vindicate and Diabolic Edict also plows the way with the latter providing an answer to Emrakul, the Aeons Torn along with Karakas.
