I would suggest Ash Zealot.

I tested the Ash Zealot s out but double red is very problematic at the moment.

If I play Plains and a Champion of the Perish in turn 1 I can't play the Ash Zealot in turn 2...

The Cavern of Souls really would be a good investment. They can be played in any tribal deck. You'll get your money back plus more. Plus they'll be standard for more than half a year. With 4 Cavern of Souls , 4 Sacred Foundry , 4 Clifftop Retreat with Plains and Mountain s, the mana base wouldn't be too problematic for a T1 Champion and T2 Ash Zealot . With snapcaster still on the loose, Ash Zealot will definitely pull his weight.

love boros, cannot wait for gatecrash. However, one card I've been struggling with, especially in an aggro setting, is Brimstone Volley . During the early aggro-ing festivities, you're often tapped out, trying to overload the enemy with creatures. It's really challanging to save your mana in case something will die.

Often, its the case where you tap out to play your Hellrider , then the next turn they Supreme Verdict , leaving your Brimstone Volley just an expensive Searing Spear . Would you consider just running Searing Spear over the Brimstone Volley ? More often than not, you'll be saving the spear to get rid of a Thragtusk or Olivia Voldaren . The 5 dmg morbid trigger comes up maybe 10% of the time that i have the card in my hand.

In my experience, in this meta, its not as good as it used to be. At least consider the use of Searing Spear until Lightning Helix comes back. mwahaha :3 (and oh yeah, raymond swanland)

No. The battalion bonus is a one time effect that happens with ONLY the creature that has it. So let me explain this in a turn process.

T1 : Land drop, Boros Elite

T2 : Land drop, Boros Elite , swing for one.

T3: Land drop, Thatcher Revolt . Now because each Boros Elite would only be getting one instance of battalion, and it doesn't stack; the first Elite would hit for 3, the second for 3, and the humans for 3; coming to a total of 9 damage.

the idea of Boros Elite is that it's a 1/1 in the first 2 turns like Doomed Traveler but getting a 3/3 when you have enough attacker wich makes him a little more aggro

Personally I think that Elite Inquisitor or Precinct Captain will work better.

Or drop two of the Boros Elite s for one more Elite Inquisitor and one more Silverblade Paladin .

Aurelia, the Warleader is an awesome card no doubt, but I wouldn't just jam her into an aggro deck just cause. She's way off your mana curve.

6 mana is 27% of your mana base (6/22). So on average you'll be able to cast her once you've seen 17.82 cards (27% of 60). Minus the seven in your opening hand and you're looking to cast her around Turn 10-11. Or the other math is to look at it like having a 22.86% chance of casting her on time at Turn 6.

This might be fine for casual kitchen top play, but you'll be able to play her much too inconstantly anywhere you need to play multiple matches. I think the deck would preform a lot better with another Hellrider and Boros Elite .

Firemane Avenger she is such a pretty beast i would defiantly recommend her

I also thought about that... maybe I can add some Infernal Plunge to fix that... or just build a ramp deck to get her out more often like in my naya mid range deck:guardians-of-asgaard-gatecrash-naya-humans (well, it's not really a deck for now it's more like some ideas what could be in a deck like that...) but we are still a few weeks away from gatecrash so there is much time left to get all my ideas working :D

you're right maybe I just take aurelia out for Firemane Avenger ... My heart will bleed if I do that 'cause I really love aurelia for her freakin' awesomeness but 6cmc is truly really high :/

I'd suggest removing your 4 Elite Inquisitor and add another Boros Elite and 3 Firemane Avenger

Taking out the Elite Inquisitor s is a bad idea when you have Boros Elite replacing it. However, you should remove Aurelia, the Warleader for two Firemane Avenger s

Lightning Mauler turn before Paladin or Medic should be good.

I think I may drop Elite Inquisitor for Legion Loyalist because even if he's not a human he's AMAZING!

You need to find room for him. Maybe lose ajani or the Firemane Avenger
