First off, cool deck. I have a lot of suggestions Jinxed Idol, Farsight Mask, Force Bubble, Blood of the Martyr, Fire and Brimstone, Ancient Tomb, Mindstorm Crown, Mana Crypt, Alliance of Arms, Aysen Crusader, Benalish Commander, Daru Warchief, Veteran's Armaments, Deploy to the Front, Field Marshal, First Response, Veteran Swordsmith.

Hey magiceli, thanks for the suggestions. I am absolutely going to get Jinxed Idol, Blood of the Martyr, Aysen Crusader, Mindstorm Crown, Benalish Commander, and possibly the rest (expect Mana Crypt which it way out of my price range at $150+) since I like to have cards in a sideboard that I use to meta against my playgroup. Thanks again!

I can see this deck being a lot more effective than anyone expects, as it sort of flies in under the radar... Where when I had a Rhys the Redeemed deck everyone knew what was up and would try to get rid of me pretty quickly. You probably get left alone whenever you play new people, then all the sudden, BAM!!! You have an army and people have used up their answers on other players... I always like these kind of generals over the obvious powerhouses like Kaalia, Oloro, Rhys, Sen Triplets, etc. It's just too bad white doesn't have any token doublers like Rhys or Doubling Season or even Primal Vigor or Parallel Lives. Only thing I would recommend are some cards that give you card advantage Mask of Avacyn, Mind's Eye, Seer's Sundial, even Armistice has been quite effective for me. Phyrexian Rebirth is another boardwipe that makes you one big token, and Darksteel Mutation is probably the best way to deal with troublesome commanders now that you can't tuck them. anyway sweet deck.

Just figured I'd point out that Knight-Captain of Eos and Martyr's Cause don't really combo with Darien. They prevent the damage, so you're never actually dealt the damage, so you don't get tokens. So if your idea was that you would prevent damage and still get tokens, which you can then keep saccing to prevent damage... it doesn't work.

Jazzyboy I know they dont actually combo with darien, but I usually use darien to get a majority of my tokens, then I can use Knight-Captain of Eos to stop all combat (whether its actual damage, or basically telling opponents there's no point in attacking me) or Martyr's Cause to stop all other damage. So they dont actually combo together, but they are very useful together

Do you ever have issues with the land base in this deck? Seems like quite a few "come into play tapped" lands you have here. Also, how viable is Icatian Store? I'd think something like Temple of the False God would be more effective.

freezerboy So far ive never had an issue with the landbase creating mana. More often than not, Land Tax or Thawing Glaciers is out and I can fetch as many lands as needed. As for Icatian Store in most of games with my playgroup, later on alot of lands go untapped as players sit and wait to see who will fire shots first, and mana is unused, so the store is there for those cases (as was White Mana Battery) so there is a backup and a decent amount of mana in reserve.

I wondered if that's what you used it for. Different playgroups, different things to deal with I suppose.

First things first it's a defence deck and it's mono white so that storage land is great. White has another storage land too but I forget what it's called

Wow, that's way better. I'm adding that to mine...even though the concept is different, something about mono-white lends itself to having land open.

Every time you play Darien, you should shout, "I'm the King of the NORTH!" and win on flavor grounds. I have a similar thing with my brother whenever we play Shaman of the Pack, we have to sing like Felicia Day before she resolves. HAHAH!
Great stuff +1

BoCaliv pretty sure I wouldnt win with flavor. I think id yell "im the king in the north!" then be betrayed by my closest ally and have me and most of my family killed. :( LOL

Hey I was playing with my newly made Darien deck the other day(been sub'ed to this page for awhile). Someone recommended Jade Monolith. Seems pretty sweet when you have your Soul Warden effects out. You can attack with your guys and have their blockers deal damage to you instead of your creatures

@venok I like that alot! Thanks for the suggestion.
@FTWinchester Jade Monolith could be quite good in some situations, ill definitely have to pick one up. How do you like your Darien deck? When you add it on tapped out, let me know, id love to take a look. Its always cool to see what other people have in their decks.

Have you found Deploy to the Front to be a card to help you win or a win more card?
You've already got Blind Obedience, you could consider Crackdown if you really want to hurt the fun.
I also like Jazal Goldmane as a token anthem
