I created this Meren deck for the pesky voltron players (yes, PLURAL) in my playgroup.

This is more like a midrangy deck. Keeping them dwarfs , facesmashers , lions and titans without trample at bay while I grind my way towards my victory:

With the new inclusion of Lesser Masticore we have a new hulk line at the ready: sac Protean Hulk to get Disciple of the Vault , any 1 CMC sacoutlet ( Carrion Feeder , Viscera Seer ), Melira, Sylvok Outcast and the Lesser Masticore . Now we sac the Lesser Masticore , to loose an opponent 1 life. His Persist ability brings him back but with Melira out, he won't enter with a -1/-1 Counter. Rinse and repeat.

R U GUYS TALKING ABOUT PROTEIN?

With Lotleth Troll we discard our Hulk into the bin and Apprentice Necromancer brings him back, only to die shortly after and thus enabling us the combo. There should be plenty of ways to let the Hulk die or to get him out of the grave.

Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord + Lord of Extinction

IMO this deck is struggling when two Voltrons playing ball with your head, but that's the reason we use the 0815 Spore Frog + Meren trick. Or we let them sac their generals with cards like Fleshbag Marauder . After we got this pressure dealt with, there is this one card that I can't figure out how to deal with: Rakdos Charm . Like for real, Rest in Peace sure is a pain in the ***, but we use enough removal to deal with that. But Rakdos Charm .. dunno. Probably need advice here. PLS.
